I read here on occasion for several years before I joined. I was on
Gnutella 062 I think when I found this site, and Napster had just
gone down, Limewire was around then, and a site called Gnutmutt
tapped into Gnutella networks on the web.

Going old school. I used early gnutella clients for the WOS. I really miss the days when ZP would get flooded with traffic, leading to huge server bills that we couldn't pay. o the good ol days.

I remember downloading old TV audio clips off of Napster. Was always frustrating when they (uploaders) disconnect at 90%.

I think I stopped file-sharing for a while right when Napster was shut down. I heard about Kazaa and used that for music videos, songs and the occasional TV show.

Went from Kazaa to Morpheus (I know, ewww) and downloaded more music. After realizing Morpheus kinda sucked at the time, I went back to Kazaa.

Someone sent a comment to me to try BitTorrent. Used BTSites.tk, the horribly named MILFclan and then SuprNova.

Went from there to eMule and Shareaza. After benching the speeds after a year of use, I used Shareaza strictly for the G2 and G1 networks. Used mainline for BitTorrent and eMule for ED2K. Used the site TheReal-world and a little bit of Fucktheinter.net and a few small sites as well. The only things I never tried that I can think of was WinMX and audiogalaxy. I even used Usenet for a while until my ISP decided to be a jackass and discontinue supporting binaries.

Today, I just use eMule, BitTorrent, YouTube (via converter at times - for rare old video game music) and Google (one-click hosters). I'd use Usenet, but for my downloading interests, it seems like overkill at this point considering how many other options I have.

In addition to this, I used ArtistServer and Soundclick for new stuff, but lately, it's been mostly NewGrounds Audio with a side of Soundclick to get me stuff I would otherwise not have heard of before. Used CNET music briefly, but the catelogue was ridiculously small and ended up going elsewhere.

Yeah, it seems like I never had all my eggs in one basket.

Looking back on it all, I'm amazed that I never really lost track of all the stuff I accumulated and where I got it all from.

I actually miss the old FastTrack, Winmx, Gnutella, Limewire, etc. Those networks were fun to search as so much information was being shared. MILLIONS of PC's all connected!!! The power of the network is still staggering...unmatched even today. With todays fast bandwidth that type of media library would be awesome! I could easily see 10 millions PC's connecting to such a network today if a compelling new network were developed.


I do so miss the old days. So much fun & now its boring & un-engaging.

I DO have a huge boner in real life...this would be an X-Mas gift for a friend who has a small boner... Being a retired law enforcement officer I must wonder if the rest of the tape says "police line do not cross"?
If so, what department and division of such was responsible for posting such tape?
If in fact this was a working crime scene, it would in fact explain Jorge's lengthy intermittent posting here over the last year or so.
It may have been do to a possible incarceration in his areas local lock up.
