There's way too many stickies. Time to condense. Other than that the site is BEAUTIFUL

I noticed that ages ago, but what do you suggest we do with them?
I know some of them are redundant, but we can't just delete them.

I suggest going through, Find out what's relevant, and move them to a "site help and information" forum maybe.
Or just getting rid of what isn't absolutely a necessary sticky. Maybe 1 fun sticky for the month but not forever and ever.

Just merge them all into one huge sticky.

un-stickie them? if you've ever used a nettop with it's lower resolution to browse this site, you'll notice you have to scroll a long way before you can come to the new posts. surely that is a lot of stickies. i agree with emm that a standard should be set.

I've always considered stickies to be for threads that get constant or continual use. The Venting thread would be a good example, the Enterprise/Star Destroyer would not.

I unstickied my own, and there are several more that could be but I'm not doing anything about the rest without discussion and a green light from a supermod.

Thanks pooter. I would not like to see anything merged. Unsticky isn't a bad option. May I also suggest closing any redundant threads as well. My only real concern was that I don't want anyone to lose any post counts, if a sticky thread was simply deleted. Unsticking the thread will not impact members post counts whatsoever. Whatever keeps the people happy.

All I'm saying is just unstickying some threads. It seems that there have been some improvements. thanks :)
