On Man vs. Food, you might have seen a guy eat a Four Horseman Burger. A Burger loaded with Jalapeno(tasty) and Serrano(nice flavor) peppers, a Habenero Sauce, topped with Ghost Peppers.

I have lived in San Antonio for five years, never heard of Chunky's. Man vs. Food shows Richman eating one, I wanted to try it. No time limit or anything, just eating it to see just how hot it really is.

My Father and I love hot peppers. We used to grow Thai and Habenero over the summer eat what we could, then freeze the rest for winter and spring usage.

Supposedly people throw up eating the burger...that's how hot it is.

Question is: Would you eat it?

I would surely try.

I had a taste of Hotsauce up in Leavenworth, WA a week back that kicked my ass a tad, but I'm out of practice. I used to douse my burgers in Dan's Insanity sauce a few summers ago, but that took a summer of building resistance by eating it every chance I got.

Good thing about hot sauces and peppers: they prevent Ass-to-roids.

I used to think the Bentley Wings at Hooters were hot....now they are just mild. But when I want wings now, I go to Wing Stop. They have Atomic Wings that are flavored with Habenero sauce. Not very tasty, but if you want a little burn they are good.

That burger sounds like a nice appetizer but could use some spicing up with some of Dave's Insanity Sauce or anything Blair's makes...

I have a bottle of "Extra Hot" Habenero sauce that I use to heat up sauces for me. The sauce itself is shit for flavor, but it does have heat.

Thanks, Poot; Dave's. It's been like a year since I've seen the bottle.

Yeah Dave's is a great stand by and is used like ketchup at my house.

And I must add a word of caution, I don't recommend anyone else using it that way who hasn't first been desensitized to very hot sauces.

Looking at the ingredients of those sauces...they are made with Habeneros...While hot, the Ghost pepper is almost 8 times hotter.

I know linking to Wiki isn't the greatest source of info.

Dammit!! Its Habanero...Habanero, Habanero. I have been misspelling it.

I have seen some of the Pure Capsaicin stuff for sale, I would definitely not want that anywhere near me...

--edit--

Here we go:
http://www.hotsauce.com/16-Million-PURE-Capsaicin-Crystals-2-0ml-p/16-million-crystals2.0.htm

16 times hotter than the Ghost Pepper.

Pure cap crystals are good for chili.

And Blair's makes the hottest shit all the way up to pure cap.

Disappointed in "Dave's Insanity Sauce", should've picked up the "Ultimate Insanity" at the Gun Show instead.

The Ghost Pepper is definitely hot. I wasn't brave enough to go dos the four horseman burger...so I got the next hottest thing, the ghost burger. I am paying for it 12 hrs later. I have been sitting on the toilet for about 20 mins now, hoping the burning will stop.

If you want to know what the ghost pepper does to you month when you are eating it, just imagine boiling a pot of water and repeatedly sticking your tounge in it. After the first 2 bites your month is numb.

The other night, I wrote a reply that took me a half hour (I type very slowly) to make only to snap my eyes open when I felt the dreaded "pinky drop" on the "d" to make a long string of them. Then, reacting too quickly, I went off the thread and lost it all. You would have liked the story as much as I enjoyed yours (and my answer to your poll was "F*CK NO." or "F*ck you dude." I don't remember...)

Just out of curiosity; Did you go to Austin's world famous Hot Sauce Festival (http://www.austinchronicle.com/gyrobase/Issue/story?oid=oid%3A1073627) held the weekend before last (August 28th) at Waterloo Park??

The burning just gets worse every time I go. Wish I had something to hold my cheeks apart. The air cools it but when they are closed.....oh man. I can still feel the pepper in my intestines...hopefully when I have to evacuate the bowels next time it will be the last time it burns....

Yes, I would have the burger again. It was tasty...for the first two bites.

I have a friend who swears by whole milk enema's but I imagine 2% would work in a pinch.
