Anyone Have One of Those Bigger DS Thingies???

I have been looking at those and thinking of buying one. I don't know though...I like that the smaller one will fit in a pocket. The bigger version is like a netbook or something but the large screen is very nice.

I like the DS because of all the tremendous puzzle games Nintendo comes up with. That new hidden pic game that is advertised with the DS XL looks fun. I want Mario and puzzle games! I am gonna buy one of these this week end but I have not yet decided on which one.

Anyone care to share an opinion??

I'm kinda tempted to get one, and if I was going to get a DSi, I probably would get that one too, but my DSlite is perfect for my uses and needs, so spending $100+ on one is a waste of money. At this time, a DX11 video card followed by a cheap, functional laptop is far higher on my list of priorities.

ye-up. The 3DS will probably be my next console purchase if I don't replace my Wii before then. That said, I'm not going to buy the 3DS right away because my DS is good enough for the games I have.

I might jump on the 3DS. I have the money right now and I think the technology sounds cool as fish! Isn't it like 3 LCD's of which 2 are somehow able to be transparent? Not sure how many LCD's it actually contains or how it works but its gonna ROCK!!!! Not only will it look ACES you KNOW Nintendo will find a way to actually use the technology as an actual game play element and not just a gimmick.

You guys ever thought about how much development Nintendo has actually done for video games? I can remember many, MANY failed attempts that Nintendo put out along the way. All kinds of Game gloves and big guns and whatnot. It had actually become somewhat of a joke to most gamers. It really was all a huge joke until Nintendo got it right!!!!!! With the Wii they finally got it all together and took the big boys to school. Its a nice story. Someone should make a film about it! SO many failed dreams along the way! Atari! SEGA!!!!! OMG!!!! I think Sega will strike back one day and I will be there!!!

This is it in action with the DSi. Obviously though, the games that are being put on the 3DS would not run on current hardware with the quality of graphics they output.

Reminds me of the Wii hack reversing the sensor bar and the IR sensor on the controller that makes the Wii 3D by centering on your perspective.

It is the same EC. Instead of using the remote's camera to see an IR dot, it's a camera that uses facial recognition.
