Give me a square uncomfortable controller with two buttons and a D-pad and I'm happy. Wii is fun when you have a group of people but by yourself I'd rather be playing with myself. Which reminds me....

I do LOVE Mario and most Nintendo game designs! Takes me back to a better time when the girls all smelled like ice cream and ice cream smelled like a catfish butt. Now that I am older I can appreciate the less violent aspects of many Nintendo puzzle like games, scrollers and party games. Its a differnt journey that the balls out other consoles but in a good way. The market needed something unique to add a bit of juice to the console race. Three consoles that all played pretty much the same things would be dull and at least one of these consoles would DIE! Of course everyone now knows what Nintendo did with their hotly debated named console Wii. Of couse not everyone likes it or wanted it but many gamers will buy it and then eventually buy either of the two other consoles. Wii may have helped PS3 more than anyone could have guessed because NO ONE knew the Wii would fly off the shelves for a few years and become an incredible powerhouse for Nintendo the likes of which they have not seen since their SNES debut WAY back in the early 90's!

Perhaps all the people that bought those Wii's bought them to tide them over until the PS3 because affordable. Perhaps all those people who bought 360's are now ready for another console. The price and time seem to be right for Sony because the PS3 sales numbers are up! Most people knew this would eventually happen but its a little sooner than I expected. The price has came down more than I expected. All this is good. Sad to see an American company flounder like Microsoft is doing right now, mainly due to their brick 360's they keep turning out. They may be fixing them but thats a HUGE inconvenience to customers and many will probably be too pee'ed off to buy another MS product next go around.


Any rumors about any knew consoles? Should be time for another one to pop up. What If Sega popped out a surprise console? NEAT!
