There is no answer to that, not at our level. It can be set to X # of pages, or X amount of total entries, but the point is, that it usually is 3 - 5 pages.
Honestly to return that many results slows the servers down, as I have noted today, so I am not in favor of more results, I was just benchmarking the sever after I noticed that. It is really only relevant to a sys admin, but then again, your one of the few that already know that all too well.
