Dubstep is really kicking off in the UK. Just wondering if it has made it state-side yet?
Debstep uses a weird time-signiture. Most tunes are around 140bpm, but actually sound around 70 because of the way it's contructed.
Some examples:

pretty cheesy examples, but you get the idea.

I'm in the USA, I've heard some of this stuff in mixes, but it sounded more drum 'n bass, or was mixed with DnB. I haven't heard an entire session with Dub Step so far.
I hope that Sirius XM will play this, they seem to resist DnB pretty strongly, but maybe one of their DJs will pick this up.
I like your website name by the way. It sounds like something that Parliament would say.

(Click on where it says > Excision Shambhala 2009 Mix < to download)
Activate subsonic bass!
It really is blowing up at the moment, the local Dubstep VS DnB night goes down a storm!
let me know what you think of this mix, it really is superb.

I'm listening to Skream right now on Tube. Skream, I think I've heard stuff by them before! I like this, good and minimal, and I already hear the bass from just the Altec speaker on my computer, and it has that wavy extra low modulation, so at least I can tell there's subsonic bass going on! I don't know if Ytube passes ultra low bass, but I can hear the residue from it. My speaker is on a wooden floor and that helps.
I wanna hear more, especially some really good soul mixes in Dubstep, that could be great! I would love to hear that.
I also will have to check my source of UK pirate radio downloads and see if I can hear the real deal from there!

They seem to have some acclaim, and I've probably heard their stuff on the radio and not known it. We had better get Zeropaid's own DJ AKA Ice Cube on this stuff!

When Summer rolls around and I get a new machine to work from (I'm starting to have problems preventing this thing from having the hard drive fill up), then I'll check it out. I actually know someone locally who's in to DubStep and I've heard it before. It's nice and ambient like which I don't mind from time to time.
Currently, I'm trying to figure out a way to get in to progressive House music as I've heard some awsome stuff from that scene. One example: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=68tPeMsD68Y
Almost rock like some of this, but has a nice House twist to it too.

More of the local scene, including dubstep.

I've seen that place passing in a car, it's across the city from me. They have a UK connection, that's cool! There are a couple of mixes to listen to on the page.
Interesting stuff by Inhaler IceCube, I also listened to the DnB version. I like music genres to be all mixed up, and I can hear so much that can be done with dubstep like that.

I had this CD a while back and loved it! I didn't even realize it was a genre just thought it was a great experimental mix. I hope more people get into dubstep here over in the states the sound is just amazing :)
