Ok, here's the deal, I've reinstalled XP, and I dont want to install Easy Cd Creator again, its a slick program, but its intrusive, and needs some major updating before its usefull

I use CloneCD with Clony XXL for copying things like protected games, and any other cd that I want to dirrectly copy, I like the program, and I'm going to continue using it

BUT, there are a few features I would like in a burning proggy, and I'm wondering if somebody out there could steer me in the right dirrection, here's my list:
-Mp3 to music cd conversion, some effects like overlapping (or fading) would be nice
-MP3 cd, I think I can just copy the mp3's to a cd and have it play, but ECC had a playlist it put in, and had nice folder features
-Data, I find drag and drop in XP is slow as hell, it takes me about half the time to do it with ECC, not a big deal, but I wouldn't mind it
-Mixed content, I used to make music cds, and then put the coresponding music vids in an "extra" thingy, so that you could play it in a home theater, but on the computer it has more info (I suppose I could write an .inf for an autorun, but I'm lazy
-burn .bin and .iso files

I know I'm missing something here, if I think of it, I'll post it (EDIT, I just did, I forgot bins and Iso files, I can use other proggys, but the less I install, the better)

BTW, before anybody says Nero, I would like to say "no thank you", I've had bad experiences with it, and would like to use it as a last resort (it is better than ECC), I dont know the most about advanced features either (or basicly what they do), so if there are any preset modes for, say music cds, or data, or whatever, it would be really nice

Thanx in advance for your help :)

how about nero?!?! ok sorry i'll suggest another program - B's recorder gold. i'm not sure what other ppl think about this but i've found it gd for mp3 burning onto audio cds, can put videos on as well, not sure about XP compatability though. think it can do most of the other things u say.

*sigh*

I suppose I could use nero, my past experiences with it, were not on this machine, so maybe it wouldnt have problems, or a newer version helped, either way, if I dont see another alternative within a few days, I'll find nero

One program I've heard was good, was Paddus disk juggler, one of my friends is trying it, he thinks it could be the answer to every burning problem, I've never really heard of it tho (other than a recent mention by somebody on ZP)

Btw, I just realized where I posted this thread, OOPS!! I wonder if a mod could help me out here....

personally i use nero, although i use razorlame to decode and nero to burn the wav files.
One program ive heard alot of good things about isfeurio! (http://www.feurio.com/English/index.shtml) which is made by the same company (ahead) who produce nero, but its supposedly more configurable with alot more options and has a better mp3 decoder. Id give an opinion but ive been too lazy to try it yet.
burnatonce (http://www.burnatonce.com/) might be worth checking out, its a piece of freeware but i aint got round to trying that either.

Nero is what I use. Great program for me so I can't complain.

There are other programs out there that I always hear about like CD Mate (http://www.cd-mate.com/), Musicmatch (http://www.musicmatch.com/), Acoustica MP3 (http://www.cdburner.com/), and NTI CD-Maker 6 (http://www.nticdmaker.com/).

Zeropain, nothings broke, so theres nothing to fix really

I checked out those sites, and right now I'm downloading CD Mate, it seems to have every feature I could want, including copy protection and a host of other stuff

I've heard of CD Mate through www.cdr-info.com in the past, but never used it, thanx for the recommendation, Ill let you know how it turns out
