Wikileaks has temporarily shut operations due a lack of donations. they say "Nor can we accept government or corporate funding and maintain our absolute integrity." pity, since that's probably the only way they can stay afloat. $600,000 a year don't normally fall from the sky.
noted journalist Paul Lashmar said it best; "(Web) users aren't interested in how the people behind sites make their money,"..."At some point people who care about free speech will realise that free speech has to be funded, otherwise it's not free."
