does anybody recommend any books or software 4 me 2 learn?, i have WindowsME (dont remind me) and i really want to learn this, i d/l a tutorial but damn it goes back to Windows 3.1!!!!!!!!!!!!!, i know there is a couple of developers in here using C++, any1 recommend anything?, thanx in advace!

check out www.amazon.com they have some killer books on C++, look for something called Microsoft Visual C++ 6.0 Reference Library, that is the best book out for C++.. as for books about application development.. say if you wanna code a P2P app, check out Peer to peer application development: cracking the code.

Get the O'Reily C++ programming book to help you get started then get a book called "The C++ Programming Language" by Bjarne Stroustrup.

the MS book is to learn Visual Studio C++ 6.0 compiler not really the language..

well im currently learning c++ myself so i can link you to some tutorials. Iam still in the console but i hope to start win32 soon. Here are some links...
