Actually, I agree with you Gorphon. I'd rather have cold now and warm during summer than the hot weather you must endure almost year round. My area, thankfully, has four seasons with a wide range of temps. I noticed some areas have a steady climate. I don't think I could deal with no change.

I've seen snow one time in my life and I was about three years old at the time. It didn't even accumulate on the ground.
Weather in Louisiana is so crazy. One day it can be cold and the next day you can be sweating your ass off.

Snow is actually really cool, but only if you're dressed right. To be comfortable the rule is usually to wear a long sleeve shirt, an optional sweater, a WINTER jacket, non of this spring jacket crap, GOOD gloves, a hat, a scarf, and either a pair of those gray wolly socks, or two pairs of regular socks on your feet, plus some GOOD winter boots. All-in-all, snow isn't that bad, but only if you wear what I just said, if not it's your worst enemy. The snow itself isn't the worst part, it's the cold weather that comes with it. There are 3 different kinds of snow, The wet stuff that disappears right whern it hits the ground, the fluffy stuff that stays on the ground and is used to make snowmen, and the blowing snow that causes car accidents and deaths. It's really fun to go outside when its snowing the fluffy snow and stick out your tongue and catch it. Its not as cold as ppl make it out, it's just really wet and it usually dissolves into water right away when you touch it. 3 years ago in around 12 hours we had over 60 cm of snow fall on our lil' ole island, that would be about 30-35" for you americans. It went up to my belly button that year when I walked around in it. Blowing snow is dangerous because when you're driving it turns everything into a white wall outside your windshield and then you can't see the other cars ahead of you until you've crashed into it, so when it's blowing snow it's best to stay inside.

Hummmm, I wonder what happened? It's almost 1 in the afternoon and not one single snow flake has fallen yet. They said the storm would start in the morning, but clearly nothing has happened yet, either it's waiting to pounce on us when we think it's safe to go outside, or the ppl at the weather network are f***ed.
