Further evidence of the Obama administration's and the Democrat Congressional leadership's effort to raise a smokescreen while it dismantles all effective controls against illegal immigration....:popworm:

Do you remember Sheriff Joe? Joe Arpaio of Maricopa County out in Arizona. He has been dubbed America's Sheriff.

Anyway, Sheriff Joe has been doing what the federal government fails to do when it comes to illegal aliens.

And now, they want to make sure it doesn't happen anymore.

The Department of Homeland Security has stripped Sheriff Joe of his authority to arrest illegal aliens solely based on the fact that they are in this country illegally. But, God love him, he says that he is going to continue doing it anyway. Go for it JOE.......:cop:

http://www.eastvalleytribune.com/story/145445

In addition to this, we have Janet Napolitano, Head of Homeland Security announcing this week a plan called "Alternatives to Detention" to remove illegal aliens from prison and put them into converted hotels or nursing homes...........:wtf1:

It actually releases some illegal alien criminals from prison, puts them out on the streets again and merely has them supervised by the government.

http://www.cnsnews.com/news/article/55140

Now with the help of the AFL-CIO, the Obama administration has repealed a rule that is supposed to screen out illegal immigrants in the work force.......:684:

This is all leading up to Amnesty for illegal criminal aliens. Or should I say VOTERS of the future.

Lets also not forget Free Health Care..........:notworthy:

As a Tax Paying American Citizen I have already put my money where my mouth is, all my life, so has Millions of other Tax Paying American Citizens....:hump:

If all Elected Government Officials would simply enforce the Law like Sheriff Joe Arpaio as we’ve been promised time and time again, we wouldn’t be in the position to have to make the decision in the first place.

Instead they choose to use situations as this to enhance their Careers. These decisions are purely for political reasons period and have nothing to do with the Laws in the US or immigration reform.

How about spending this time and effort on ways to get American Citizens out of our jails and back into the main stream instead?.......:usa2:

All of these illegal aliens should be deported back where they came from immediately, not released back into the streets to commit further crimes or put up in some shelter! ....DAMN, they even admit they're illegal aliens!............:soapbox:

I cannot figure how anyone can have a legitimate argument against that.

BILLION$ go toward support and incarceration costs of these people in the US every year, the amount is staggering; I’ve mentioned it here before many times. That’s not even getting into the costs to the victims of the crimes they have committed while being here illegally.

Secure our Borders first and send these people back where they came from period. It’s faster and cheaper any way you look at it, and just what we’ve been promised.....:dunno:

That's your justification? We should encarcerate the illigals with the stupidity tax paid by clueless people like you!

Obviously you don't begin to understand the scope of descent this country has plunged in to.

I honestly don't know what your photos in post #1 and the link in post #6 have to do with anything. All you are doing is trying to stir up racial hatred.

I don't see why you have to couch your racism in subtlety. Be proud of what you are. a racist and a xenophobe.

Right...someone who wants people to wait in the immigration lines just like every other law abiding legal resident alien did in the US. I would like to think the laws apply to everyone in the country...but I guess the laws apply to everyone, unless you are a politician, actor/actress, or an illegal alien.

I welcome everyone from every country(except France) to come to the US. Just do it legally.

Then get the big business/farm lobbyists the fuck out so we can pass laws to do it.

I would throw the unions and "rights groups" in there, but they don't have half the pull the first 2 do.

Being from an agricultural area, I get to witness it every day.

Wasn't that one of Obama's promises with this administration, no more lobbyists?

I can agree with the farmers saying that the cost of food would go up, there is no denying it, it would. But I also have to say that illegal immigrants play a vital role in keeping prices for corn, strawberries, soybeans, grapes, etc, cheaper than they would be if they were paid 7.25 an hour to perform the same task.

This is a balance of making sure illegal immigrants DO NOT have the same rights as legal immigrants. While I respect both for coming to the US to make theirs, and their families, lives better, I respect the ones who waited to get their green cards more. The ones who waited respected the rights of a sovereign nation's immigration laws.

I would throw the unions and "rights groups" in there, but they don't have half the pull the first 2 do.

Really? The Unions have no pull, or even half the pull of the farmers...What about the most fertile valley in the US turning into the desert in california and what two automakers got 60+ billion in taxpayer money? Unions having no pull...please. They have had it since their inception.

Being from an agricultural area, I get to witness it every day.

Yup, and I see it here in San Antonio with their day laborer jobs as well. Show me one, and I mean ONE, American that would work as hard as the illegals do, for as little as they make.

This post is contradicting isn't it?

The “Race Card” again......:684:

I’d give you some advice on what to do with that but Im sure you already know what I think so I won’t waste my time.

Picture in post #1, this photo was taken by a journalist doing a story about the problems of illegal aliens in this country, nice way to show how “happy” they are to be here huh ?

The video linked to in my post #2 just gives you an idea of the upbringing of their children and what we have to look forward to after these politicians get them legalized and able to vote here.

Great outstanding citizens these folks will make huh?

How you relate that to being Racist has got me puzzled, except that you do not have a legitimate argument. Typical!

Look most could care less if these people were from Mexico or Japan, Pink or Green?

Race or National Origin is not what’s at play here. These people are “convicted criminals” already.

Their illegal status here has been found out only by their arrest and conviction of crimes they had committed.

Being they have taken upon themselves to enter into our country illegally just adds to their list of crimes but “not” the reason they are incarcerated to begin with.

Not all illegal aliens are of this origin, take this for instance, just as an example:

Illegal Alien Charged With Attempting to Detonate WMD in Dallas

Not super contradicting.

It's halfway true - you won't find most self-respecting workers working for the wages and in the conditions that illegals will.

To me, that's part of the problem.

And yes, it's their own fault for entering and occupying the country illegally, and thus not really having full protections, and a bargaining card for people to hold over their heads to keep them quiet.

I also know, that in my area - because of the agricultural base - harvest time used to be a time when field workers were let out to work the fields.

My mom was a farm kid, and my dad work the orchards and hop fields growing up. So I know that the "nobody else would do it" fallacy is bullshit.

The truth is the farmers won't pay legal wages when they can dangle deportation and pay less. The same with contractors for construction and janitorial in my area.

That's just good, American business.

And yeah, I said the unions had "no" pull. None. Exactly what I said.

It wasn't anything, such as quoted, as when it comes to immigration they don't have half the pull as farmers and big business, who are friendly with both sides of the political fence.

Divisional Fallacy?

Your liberal mind has missed the subject of the thread all together and you put no consideration of the price put on each American who has been molested, raped, killed, or murdered by an illegal alien?

Some estimates place the net costs of each illegal alien in America at $50,000 – $100,000. (FYI: 12,000,000 X $50,000 = $600,000,000,000) When all the indirect costs are factored in, it is probably even higher. Chump Change I guess?

In any case, it is a cost that Americans are paying just so these God Damn Politicians can enhance their Fucking Careers.

Of course your not being an American Citizen and not paying any of this cost could possibly explain part of this, the liberal in you explains the rest. Your changing of the subject and claiming divisional fallacy is not a legitimate argument.

The subject is not Mexicans, its illegal aliens, the “fact” that a good part of them happen to come from Mexico I cannot change or had anything to do with!

Also, you’re assertion the video is “likely South Americans” not Mexican leads us to believe you assume none of theses illegal aliens are from the South American Continent, and the video is not justification for my conclusion that this will be part of our future voting population, how blind you are to the actual truth.

A quick search found these, I didn’t even go to the second page.

Figures from the U.S. Department of Homeland Security indicate that Colombia is the fourth-leading source country of unauthorized immigration to the United States.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Illegal_immigration

Wreck on causeway nets illegal South American immigrants

http://raidreport.blogspot.com/2009/09/wreck-on-causeway-nets-six-illegal.html

Pew Hispanic Center report, 57% of illegal immigrants were from Mexico, 24% were from other Latin American countries, primarily from Central America.

"I am the Elected Sheriff. I don't take orders from the Federal Government."..........:fing26:

A half day after officials in Washington limited his powers to make federal immigration arrests Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio launched a crime and immigration sweep in northwestern metro Phoenix on Friday cracking down on people who are in the country illegally.

Arpaio said the rebuff from Washington won't stop him. He said he can still arrest immigrants under a state smuggling law and a federal law that gives all local police agencies more limited power to detain suspected illegal immigrants.

"It doesn't bother me, because we are going to do the same thing," said Arpaio, whose deputies had arrested 16 people by Friday evening on unspecified charges.

According to his web site, each inmate booked is interviewed for immigration status. Sheriff’s detention officers have turned over 28,781 illegal immigrants to Immigration authorities for deportation.

"He is doing this to thumb his nose at the Obama administration," said Lydia Guzman, president of the Hispanic civil rights group Somos America....:bryce:

A dozen anti-Arpaio protesters yelled throughout the news conference. At one point, they chanted: "Order equals K-K-K — here's what Arpaio has to say."........:squintfinger:

Arpaio said the Bush administration had no complaints about his use of the special federal powers, but all that has changed with the Obama administration.

"What's changed?" Arpaio asked. "Politics has changed, because they don't like us going on the streets to catch illegals."...........:buttkick:

Looks like Ole Sheriff Joe isn’t the only one rounding up Illegal Aliens.

U.S. immigration authorities rounded up 223 more Illegal Alien Gang Members and associates in Florida in the last fiscal year.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement says Operation Community Shield led to 1,785 arrests in 89 cities nationwide. The arrests were made between Oct. 1, 2008, and Sept. 30.

The 223 gang members and associates arrested in Florida faced charges of attempted murder, robbery, and various drug and weapons charges.

In Operation Community Shield, federal, state and local law enforcement agencies share information and resources to arrest, prosecute and imprison or deport gang members.

Florida immigration officials say the operation has helped dismantle or disrupt numerous gang and drug trafficking organizations.

But of course Immigrant rights activists arn't too pleased?

The Coalition for Humane Immigrant Rights of Los Angeles said it began receiving e-mails from concerned legal immigrants on Friday. In response, CHIRLA wrote a letter asking several retailers, including Target, Walgreens, and Amazon.com, to stop offering the costume.

But, William Gheen, the president of Americans for Legal Immigration, said he intends to buy the costume, and calls the reaction unfounded.

"The only people getting upset are the hyper-sensitive, over-politically correct, pro-amnesty, illegal alien-supporting nuts," said Gheen. "You can't attack people's freedom in this country."

The "Illegal Alien Adult Costume," manufactured by Forum novelties, includes an orange jumpsuit, similar to prison garb, with "Illegal Alien" stamped in black across the chest; a space alien mask; and a fake Green Card. The "Illegal Alien Mask with Hat" also includes a space alien mask, this time with a dark handlebar mustache and a baseball cap.

It turns out that Sheriff Arpaio's Office Is Only Law Enforcement Agency in U.S. Denied Authority to Enforce Immigration Laws, Says DHS......:wtf1:

“It’s the only one,” Matt Chandler, spokesman for the DHS, said on Thursday.

Sheriff Joe Arpaio, who oversees the Maricopa County Sheriff’s Office, is well-known for arresting illegal immigrants to be deported, and his success in catching illegals has been criticized largely by liberal public leaders and activists.

Since January 2006, the 287(g) program is credited with identifying more than 130,000 potentially removable aliens, the majority of which are incarcerated in local jails. More than 1,075 law-enforcement officers have been trained and certified through the program.

“We are troubled by this administration’s promotion of 287(g) contracts and other programs that continue to hijack state and local criminal justice systems to enforce federal civil immigration law,” Margaret Huang, executive director of the pro-amnesty Rights Working Group, said ahead of a demonstration at DHS headquarters on Thursday to oppose the agreements.

Is the Obama Administration starting another losing war?
