If you look at the page above, some guy claims to have figured out a way to increase the number of machines that kazaa searches when it does a search for any file (he calls it megasearch). This would be incredibly useful for me, as I am often looking for extremely rare files, and I am lucky when one or two people have them.
I tried thinking about how you would do something like this, but I cant quite figure it out. I dont believe it has to do with the registry keys, which is all that other kazaa exploits do (like the ones that change your participation level, simply registry editing)
If anyone can point me in the right direction, or at least suggest something, I'd be very happy. :)
I love p2p, and have a natural (no hacks) participation level of 1000. I want to give back to the community in any way possible, and I think allowing for wider searches could be one way. So if any has some ideas, toss em out here! :)
