Shareaza messed up my kazaalite

after i installed shareaza on my system i tried previewing one of my Kazaalite downloads and it wouldnt work. Godamn internet explorer popped up and it started trying to download the file from my own computer (127.0.0.1). Everytime I try to preview it happens. Can anybody tell me how to change the settings so i can preview in kazaallite again?

Wtf does installing shareaza have to do with Kazaa lite? Dude, maybe you dont have the codec you need or something...

eum, I don't think its Sharazaa doing this. Maybe there's something wrong with the files you're trying to donwload. How about trying to reïnstall kazaa lite? That will definatly work...

Shareaza & KaZaA are two totally different programs. Installing Shareaza has nothing to do with the problems previewing downloads in KaZaA Lite. So lets eliminate Shareaza right out of this. Your real problem lies with KaZaA. Like CrAzYMaNiAk said, maybe you don't have the right codecs to preview them. Try uninstalling KaZaA & re-install it again to see if that works.
You said that your internet explorer pops up and started trying to download files from your own computer, sounds to me like you're trying to increase your Participation Level by cheating.

It could be a bug.. How previewing works is that it steams the file from your PC into the player that the program uses. Kazaa uses WMP but shareaza uses something else that could have messed up the settings or it could be a problem with kazaa.. Anyways it should be using the "theater" WMP and not launching it seperate.

Try uninstalling both programs and reinstalling just Kazaa to see if that fixes it.

It seems to be a problem with kazaa lite so he should just see if reinstalling it will help..

Thanks for all the help. I downloaded the media player nine and i think it restored the settings cuz kazaas workingfine now.

It wasn't Shareza.I them both and have no problems.But the cool thing is -you can run them both simultaneously and they don't clash.They play nice together even with only a 56k modem to d/l with.I really expected some problems with that and was pleasantly surprised.What I do is when I get the file I want most connected I pause everything else and let it have the max bandwidth.

Winmx and kazaa work fine together too...
