Hey if they could fire those people for giving advice to commit a crime by fraud, why didn't they fire Bush for committing fraud for starting the Iraq War with the reason of a phony WMD charge.
Or about killing Bin Lauden.
Goose, Gander reasoning here people.

Another thing what do you suppose Fox or don would have said or done if say Ted Kennedy had called Bush a liar abouit why we invaded Iraq during a speech to the Senate and Congress?

It would have a 24/7 "git rid of Kennedy" feast by them for weeks.

So have you head a word from don or Fox condeming Wilson for calling Obama a liar when he in fact was telling the truth about illegals not being able to git health car?

Speaking of loving nuts, you have to love the wacky nuts at Fox News.
Beck, Hannity and the moring show blonde bomb Grechin were all taken in in by an Acorn worker who messed with two wannabe journalist.

The California worker spotted the two supposed uncover journalist as phonies and played them like a cheap violin.
During the conversation the female worker told them that she had killed her ex-husband.
They asked if she meant emotionaly killed him? She said "no I shot him."

Beck and the rest of Faux News never even bothered to check the information before airing the piece. For days prior to the airing Becked touted how he had evedence of Acorn even being involved in murder.

The local PD investigated the incident and found that the exhusband was alive and well and that the Acorn worker had been screwing with the two idiot wannabe journalist.

To date neither Beck or Fox News in general have corrected the murder charge they reported.
Nor admitted they had been yanked big time.

They still believe that if you ignore the truth long enough, it will go away and you don't have to report it.

Another great Fox gem.

ACORN sucks. Everyone knows it and more importantly...no one CARES! Everything in Washington sucks like a pornstar. Thanks Captain Obvious for pointing it out. It would be nice if you were capable of pointing out all the other suckers on the hill instead of just the ones you want to conveniently pick on. Go home and suck a dick.

Don,

Personally, I don't care if ACORN gets investigated! My concern, is about the ethics people have, without it this country would have no hope of been great as it wants to be.

ACORN is NOTHING. Its not news worthy and its a POS organization. Most people know this. Now...who cares and why do we keep having to have ACORN news posted here? There are more ACORN threads here than BT threads!

It seems that Acorn "Mr. Transparency" Glen Beck is any thing but when it comes to him being under the microscope.

It seems that his key to the city shindig in Mt. Vernon WA. is a closed to the public ticketed event, plus a limited press event as well. Only five press passes are being issued for Beck's appointment to town god.
Originaly only one was going to be issued and Beck's staff would decide who got it.
The town mayor received so much flack from the public that the Beckerheads decided to issue four more passes but they still will decided who gets them. Not afraid of hard face to face questions by the press are you Glen?

In all actuality not everyone in the city is at all grand on "Glen Beck Day" or his receiving a key to the city.
6 of the 7 town councel members are against it, as well as numerous town merchants who are afraid of losing customers by supporting the event.
The last city councel meeting before the event was canceled by the mayor because there was nothing supposedly on the agenda.
In reality a petition with 16,000 signatures opposing the crowning of Beck as king for a day, was to be introduced at the meeting by members of the councel.
The mayor however did not see it as major city business.
Now 16,000 signatures may not seem like much some would say, but at last count Mt. Vernon only has a population of about 32,000.

Being a home town boy Mountain Rage, have you heard anything from your old digs?

ACORN the SEUI and The White House

While everyone in Washington is suddenly pretending they've hardly ever heard of ACORN, they might want to pretend they've never heard of the SEIU, one of the nation's largest unions. Hell, they even share the same offices.

You remember Obama; “You know, it’s — frankly, it’s not really something I’ve followed closely. I didn’t even know that ACORN was getting a whole lot of federal money. It’s not something I’m paying a lot of attention to. ”

You don't talk about either ACORN or the SEUI without mention of Wade Rathke, co-founder of ACORN and founder of SEIU Local 100 in New Orleans.

Rathke, who resigned from ACORN last year as "Chief Organizer" after it became known that his brother embezzled almost $1 Million from the ACORN, still runs “ACORN International,” recently renamed Community Organizations International and is Organizing Communities in at least 12 countries.

To break it down, ACORN and the SEIU are hand and glove. This coziness has been long known among conservative watchdog groups, but Washington has paid little attention until now.

If you don’t believe Obama has ties to these folks.

Now it's $5 Million ACORN Embezzlement

First Las Vegas then Louisiana up to New York now we’re back to Louisiana again. State and Federal Law Enforement has been busy with ACORN.

Now, ACORNS ties with the SEIU Union have Republicans in Kansas, Virginia and Illinois calling on Union-backed Democrats to return SEIU campaign contributions by the Hundred$ of Thousand$, citing the close connection between the two.

This is spreading faster than the Wild Fires in California.

But anyway;

The brother of ACORN’s founder Wade Rathke the organization's board of directors admits, had embezled close to $1 Million from the organization that went unreported by ACORN to authorities.

A subpoena issued Monday puts a new emphasis on the embezzlement issue. It appears to be in reaction to documents gathered from ACORN's board as a result of the subpoenas issued in August.

These subpoenas issued in August followed by an investigation, now show that $5 Million had been embezzled from ACORN a figure far more than the previously amount reported.

Those subpoenas have targeted Violations of State Employee Tax Law, Obstruction of Justice and Violations of the Employee Retirement Security Act.

The investigations continue.........

The Senator from Acorn

Strong concern with Acorn’s signature issues, as well as meetings with Acorn and the introduction by Obama on Acorn-friendly legislation, sure enough, warrents a bit of digging into Obama’s years in the Illinois State Senate.

Acorn has specifically sought out Obama’s representation. Along with the reservoir of political support that came his way through ACORN you begin to wonder whether, in his early days in Illinois, Obama might have best been characterized as the Senator from Acorn.

With Obama’s post-law school role in organizing “Project VOTE” in 1992 being clear that this project was undertaken in direct partnership with Acorn, Acorn’s pro-Obama election activities and Obama’s yearly service as a key figure in Acorn’s leadership-training seminars, Acorn appears to have played a major role in Obama’s political advance.

Acorn led many members to serve as the volunteer shock troops of Obama’s early political campaigns — his initial 1996 State Senate campaign, and his failed bid for Congress in 2000.

Then with Obama having personally helped train a new cadre of Chicago Acorn leaders, by the time of Obama’s 2004 US Senate campaign, Obama and Acorn were “old friends.”

With an important story by John Fund, and in a long Obama background piece in the New York Times, more attention needs to be paid to possible links between Obama and Acorn during the period of Obama’s service on the boards of two charitable foundations, the Woods Fund and the Joyce Foundation also.

Obama: “You know, it’s — frankly, it’s not really something I’ve followed closely.”..........:wiggle:

ACORN activists are famous for using your tax dollar to register characters like Mickey Mouse and Donald Duck.

But what would happen if they did something really weird — like register Republicans?..........:pat:

Well here is a first-hand account of what would happen.

In February 2008, Fathiyyah Muhammad of Jacksonville, Florida, heard that ACORN was paying people three dollars for each voter they could register.

Being an entrepreneur and a great American: I went over, I thought that well this is a good way to make some money because I know everybody, you know. I went over there and this guy signed me up and everything, and gave me my little pad, all this stuff.”

I went out and got a lot of people, homeless people, everyone she said. “You could put down anything you wanted.” And she was not forcing people to sign up as Republicans:

I’m one of those rare birds, a Black Conservative Republican, and actually this is the Black Conservative Capital of the Country, Jacksonville, Florida

So she runs back to ACORN, but the group leader there was not pleased: You see her registration cards were for Republican voters not Democrat.

“I showed what I had, and he said, “No, no, you a fraud, there can’t be any Black Republicans,’ and oh, he just kind of hung me out to dry…. But of course their main aim was to register only Democrats. They’re not interested in registering Republicans.”

All of the registrations she had gotten? “Well… they just threw those out.”........

Not that she needed the money, but ACORN did not honor its agreement or pay three dollars for each registered voter, they didn’t pay me anything! I can’t believe that they got away with it for so long.” And she wants her story to be told.

Her testimony is another nail in the coffin of the community organizers of ACORN and their stealth criminal activities.

The Investigations continue..........

New York State Supreme Court Judge Michael Lynch ruled that there were "significant election law violations that have compromised the rights of numerous voters and the integrity of the election process."

Dozens of forged and fraudulent absentee ballots from people registered to vote on the (WFP) Working Families Party line were filed in the Sept. 15 primary elections in Troy.

Documents at the county Board of Elections show the fraudulent ballots were handled by or prepared on behalf of various elected officials and leaders and operatives for the Democratic and Working Families parties.

There may be as many as 50 absentee ballots that were forged, according to people close to the case. Countywide, there were 126 absentee ballots applied for on the Working Families Party line.

What isn’t mentioned is that WFP is nothing more than a front group for ACORN. Or as Roger Stone put it:

The Working Families Party is not about working people or families and it isn’t really a party. The WFP is a wholly owned subsidiary of ACORN. Bertha Lewis co-chair of the Working Families Party is the Executive Director of New York ACORN.

ACORN leader, Steven Kest was the moving force in forming the party and WFP headquarters are located at the same address as ACORN’s national and New York office at 88 Third Avenue in Brooklyn, New York.

WFP is essentially a money funnel which pays for an aggressive door to door canvas.

Largely funded by unions, the WFP is ACORN’s “political arm” in New York State.

Candidates supported by the Working Families Party and issues supported by ACORN are both advocated on the door steps of target voter homes as they share one major voter canvas.

The WFP has endorsed New York Democratic Sen. Kristen Gillibrand, who was one of only seven Senators who voted against cutting federal housing funds to ACORN in September!

Democrats and ACORN again, Isn’t that amazing........

Over to Philadelphia this time for the latest of the ACORN Stings

Damn I'm going to have to get some gas............:drive:

Among all the videos out about ACORN Philadelphia was one that was spoken about.

For a month, it has been that a similar attempt by O'Keefe and Giles in Philadelphia had failed miserably, and that the pair was "thrown out" of ACORN's office there.

ACORN CEO Bertha Lewis said so on CNN. The Philadelphia Daily News's David Gambacorta reported that "they were apparently shown the door." Others playing or parroting ACORN's assertions included the Philadelphia Inquirer, the Washington Post, NPR, and the New York Times.

Just in time for your weekend enjoyment they’ve released another video that blows ACORN's Philadelphia story to smithereens….Enjoy

Two conservative activists released a new undercover video targeting the community-organizing group ACORN on Wednesday, an attempt to reignite a simmering political controversy surrounding the Democratic-leaning organization.

The new videotape shows filmmakers Hannah Giles and James O'Keefe, posing as a prostitute and her boyfriend, soliciting advice about a possible housing loan from workers in the Philadelphia office of ACORN Housing Corp.

Previous videos showed the same pair, also posing as a prostitute and her boyfriend, visiting ACORN offices in other cities.

The Philadelphia visit is significant because of a dispute over statements ACORN has made defending what took place when Giles and O'Keefe visited the Philadelphia office last summer.

Supporters of O'Keefe and Giles said ACORN has lied about whether the two were thrown out of the Philadelphia office, how much time they spent there and whether they explicitly told ACORN workers that Giles was a prostitute.

The AP's Pete Yost certainly doesn't get it when he claims that the controversy needs to be "reignited." ACORN has suspended most services nationally, is conducting a review all of its operations, is under investigation in Louisiana because what was supposedly a $1 Million embezzlement by a founder's relative may be more like $5 million, and has lost almost its credibility with all but the most hardened radicals in the U.S. House and Senate.

ACORN has lied.

Imagine that?

The video proves it.

Investigation Leads to Criminal charges against ACORN

The Association of Community Organization for Reform Now, Inc., also known as ACORN, operating in Las Vegas office has now been charged with 26 counts of voter fraud and 13 counts for compensating those registering voters, both felonies.

Christopher Edwards, former ACORN Las Vegas field director who in August pleaded guilty to two counts of conspiracy to commit a crime of compensation for registration of voters; throwing them under the bus has agreed to testify against ACORN.....:lmao:

An election task force last year began to investigate ACORN over questionable voter registration tactics. The charges against ACORN and Edwards stemmed from information obtained during that investigation.

CAN YOU SAY ACORNGATE.........?? :afro:

Just a few days after the Attorney General had announced an investigation of the very same office, ACORN’s office in National City (San Diego County) has engaged in a massive unceremoniously document dump. ( I suppose in an attempt to get rid of evidence)

Derrick Roach, a licensed investigator based in San Diego, took it upon himself to keep an eye on what the local ACORN office was up to, in light of the release of the undercover videos and retrieved these documents from a public dumpster.

The thousands upon thousands of sensitive documents shared with BigGovernment.com contain information exposing not only the inner workings of ACORN in California, but point to illicit ties between ACORN, Labor Unions and Banks.

ACORN’s political agenda is also exposed with the thousands of documents revealing the depth of the political machine that is ACORN, and its disturbing ties to not only public employee labor unions but some of the most radical leftist organizations.

I wonder how all of that organizing skill and knowledge to help elect President Obama coincides with ACORN’s use of Federal Funds and their status as a 501(c)3 non-profit?..........:Flush:

Not only did this document dump occur, but the documents in question were irresponsibly and brazenly dumped in a public dumpster, without considering laws and regulations as to how sensitive personal information should be treated.

The discarded papers contain sensitive personal information about clients and employees, such as Social Security numbers, driver's license numbers, voided checks, tax returns, even credit reports.

Go get em Andrew.........:smokin:

House Republicans Blast Democrats, Obama Over Alleged ACORN Ties

Democrats are not moving forward with investigations into the organization that is alleged to have committed widespread voter fraud to support Democratic candidates, in violation of the group's tax-exempt status.

"ACORN is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Democratic Party," Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif., said at Tuesday's two-hour long partisan forum that no Democrats attended.

Rep. Steve King, R-Iowa, who was dubbed the "ACORN king" because of the bucket of acorns displayed prominently by his side, said he's convinced that any investigation of ACORN will reflect poorly on the Obama administration.

"The White House will do everything it can to make sure ACORN will continue to get federal funding," Rep. Dan Burton, R-Ind., exclaimed.

A legal decision from the Justice Department, made public last week, says officials at Housing and Urban Development can honor its existing contracts with ACORN despite a recently passed law forbidding federal funds from going to the group, “Congress banned federal funding to ACORN.”

It is telling us that this administration continues to look for every excuse possible to circumvent the intent of Congress. The politicization of the Justice Department to pay back one of the president's political allies is shameful and amounts to nothing more than old-fashioned cronyism.

A Justice Department spokesman simply said "we decline comment" when asked about plans to investigate ACORN.

ACORN and the House Oversite Committee

ACORN whistleblower Anita MonCrief has offered stunning revelations regarding the nation's largest radical left organization, where our Community Activist in Chief cut his teeth.

Obama is a bumbling, empty-headed, arrogant, dangerous, ultra left-wing statist who’s doing crippling damage to our country.

The supposedly nonpartisan organization has been illegally pouring taxpayer money into Democrat causes, letting Million$ disappear, and renting out goons for intimidation campaigns, while the Laimstream news and Democrats deliberately looks the other way.

Good thing we have a Justice Department, so that large criminal enterprises like ACORN can be brought up on RICO charges like other mob outfits. Except that under Obamunism, the foxes guard the henhouse.

The skeevy pro-terrorist creep we are asked to regard as the Attorney General has still not started an investigation into this criminal organization but has recently ordered that your money, Tax Dollars continue to be handed over to ACORN.

I don’t think this guy over at the Right Wing News likes the Obamaman much?............:wiggle:

ACORN employees caught in those undercover videos advising a couple posing as a pimp and a prostitute on how to break the law acted unprofessionally and inappropriately, but did nothing illegal, an independent report has found.

The report, by former Massachusetts Attorney General Scott Harshbarger, recommends nine steps for ACORN to take in order to regain public trust in the wake of the scandal, including that it return to its "core competency - community organizing and citizen engagement empowerment, with related services."

On the key question of potential illegal conduct, it finds:

While some of the advice and counsel given by ACORN employees and volunteers was clearly inappropriate and unprofessional, we did not find a pattern of intentional, illegal conduct by ACORN staff; in fact, there is no evidence that action, illegal or otherwise, was taken by any ACORN employee on behalf of the videographers.

Harshbarger also notes that the videos were sometimes less than perfect representations of the events they depict. He writes:

The videos that have been released appear to have been edited, in some cases substantially, including the insertion of a substitute voiceover for significant portions of Mr. O'Keefe's and Ms. Giles's comments, which makes it difficult to determine the questions to which ACORN employees are responding. A comparison of the publicly available transcripts to the released videos confirms that large portions of the original video have been omitted from the released versions.

Wow, A high-profile lawyer hired by ACORN to investigate ACORN has found no pattern of intentional illegal conduct in ACORN, now theres a Surprize...........:jester:

But with more than a dozen investigations Nationwide, by Congressional Investigators, State and Federal Law Enforcement Agencies this is hardly over. We’re stil waiting on the Justice Department they’ve simply said "we decline comment" when asked about plans to investigate ACORN.

Allegations against ACORN continue to pour in, now it appears that the organization actively targeted incumbent Republican members of Congress in the 2008 election. This kind of political activity is a clear violation of ACORN’s non-profit status.

While ACORN’s national umbrella can engage in some partisan activity, the racket shuffles money underhandedly between charitable organizations that are forbidden by law from engaging in political activity (the NYTimes knew all about,) but covered up before Election Day).

And BigGovernment.com still has a treasure trove of ACORN docs dumped to cover the criminal racket’s tracks before Jerry Brown launched a pretend probe, along with many video’s to be released yet.

Stay tuned...............:usa2:

Being you don't give a shit, I'll keep my eye's open for more of these "studies" on it for you OK?

DOJ defunds ACORN

Last week, unbeknownst to all but Avid Court or ACORN watchers a pivotal moment occurred in the lawsuit against ACORN.

Peter D. Leary, an attorney at the Department of Justice “Congress was clear in its decision to defund ACORN.”

The plain language of the Continuing Resolution is unmistakable:

“None of the funds made available by this joint resolution or any prior Act may be provided to the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN), or any of its affiliates, subsidiaries, or allied organizations.”

Even though it’s only temporary for the time being, the Justice Department will defend the actions of Congress to defund ACORN.

More Teabagging will continue so this corrupt organization ACORN will be permanently defunded, stay tuned.......:beerchug:

Democrats Vote to Fund ACORN - Acorn Cookies at the White House

The Democratic Party's favorite criminal enterprise, also known as the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN).

Their corruption with voter fraud, embezzlement and cover-up, and the Hooker/Spy Scandal and other crimes included a systematic program to try and manipulate the voting process in this country.

Last night, defying the will of a bipartisan majority of the House and Senate, and the recent DOJ decision Democrats voted to try and allow the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now (ACORN) to receive federal taxpayer dollars.

Of course the Teabaggers have triumphed once again and these Radical Lefty Democrats have Failed, the amendment was shot down on a 5-9 party line vote as Republicans sided with Truth and Justice while Democrats stood with the criminal enterprise ACORN. Suprized..??

And while we're on the subject, guess what was served at the White House annual Christmas party, Monday, Dec. 7, 2009?

ACORN WINS ONE

NEW YORK -- U.S. District Judge Nina Gershon in Brooklyn ruled Friday that attempts by Congress and the Admnistration to temporarely cut off funding to ACORN raised a "fundamental issue of separation of powers" and issued a temporary injunction order against the government, saying it "punitively targeted a single organization," citing it as unconstatutional.

The ruling means that ACORN can receive federal funding duly awarded by federal agencies while litigation continues. Her ruling is expected to stand until next Friday when the current temporary restrictions on Acorn are set to expire or be extended.

A permanent ban, the “Defund Acorn Act,” has passed the House and is pending in the Senate.

Justice Department spokeswoman Beverley Lumpkin said the agency was reviewing the decision and declined to comment further.

The battle continues.

Delaware Officials: ACORN Illegally Lobbying in State

From a request sent to the Public Integrity Commission, the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee investigating into the lobbying and election activities by ACORN has found “no person has ever registered" to represent any of the ACORN affiliates that were in question.

Even after being notified that a “lobbyist must register” they had yet to do so while still engaging in lobbying activities.

Ah, that’s illegal, another example of ACORN’s blatant disregard for the law.

The Public Integrity Commission has subsequently notified ACORN by certified letter referring the violations of the lobbying law to the Attorney General for investigation and prosecution.

The matter will be on the Commission’s agenda for its December 15, 2009 meeting.

Call for Justice Department to Appeal ACORN Ruling

Last Fridays decision by U.S. district judge Nina Gershon granted a preliminary injunction that orders the United States not to enforce a recently enacted provision of law (“Section 163”) that restricts funding of ACORN has come into question.

Specifically, Judge Gershon ruled that Section 163 is “unconstitutional under the Bill of Attainder Clause.”

A letter has been sent to Attorney General Eric Holder, to appeal that decision.

In the Constitution, the “Congress express Spending Clause” give’s them power to refuse to appropriate federal funds to an organization that has shown itself likely to misuse those funds in the future.

It's also interesting how “unconstitutional” and “separation of powers” are mentioned in this ruling. It's doubtful this judge understands them herself.

First of all, Congress has the power to appropriate tax money, not the judicial branch. She may be overstepping her judicial authority by dictating to Congress whom the body can and cannot fund.

Also, if she’d actually read the Constitution, the Fifth Amendment, says this:

"(No person shall) be deprived of life, liberty or property, without due process of law."

That means the person's own property, not taxpayers money, Interesting.

In a statement released Monday saying the ruling was the result of "left-wing activist judge," Darrell Issa, R-Calif, said and added that "ACORN is not fit to receive federal funds. This left-wing activist judge is setting a dangerous precedent that left-wing political organizations plagued by criminal accusations have a constitutional entitlement to taxpayer dollars."

Now Government Accountability Office will investigate ACORN

The Government Accountability Office (GAO) has informed two House Republicans that it will investigate ACORN’s use of federal funds.

The GAO sent a letter to Reps. Lamar Smith (R-Texas), the ranking member of the Judiciary Committee, and Darrell Issa (R-Calif.), the ranking member of the Oversight and Government Reform Committee, informing them of its decision. Smith and Issa on Thursday released the letter, dated Dec. 7

“GAO accepts your request as work that is within the scope of its authority,” wrote Ralph Dawn, managing director of GAO’s government relations department.

Dawn also noted that in September, Issa, Smith and 20 members of the Senate, as well as Rep. Rush Holt (D-N.J.), requested the GAO investigation.

Issa applauded the GAO for looking into the ACORN controversy.

Justice Department Appeals ACORN Ruling

Members of the House Judiciary Committee sent a letter to Attorney General Eric Holder's Justice Department asking that the ruling of U.S. District Judge Nina Gershon be overturned.

“Given the numerous ongoing investigations being conducted surrounding ACORN’s criminal activities, the federal government will and should vigorously defend what the President signed and Congress overwhelmingly passed—a bipartisan recognition that ACORN is not fit to receive federal funds to perform duties on behalf of the American people,” said Issa, also a member of the House Judiciary Committee. “There is no plausible way we can allow a left-wing activist Judge usurp the authority of the President and Congress in an effort to bypass Constitutional authority so that a criminal organizations plagued by criminal accusations can have a court-ordered to entitlement to taxpayer dollars.”

Now the Department of Justice’s has made a decision to file papers in federal court arguing for a reversal of the Eastern Court Judge Nina Gershon’s ruling last week.

ACORN Buster Busted.......??

The independent filmmaker who brought ACORN to its knees last year with an undercover expose was arrested this week along with three others, including the son of a federal prosecutor, and accused of trying to interfere with the phones at Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu's office.

Landrieu has recently been criticized for her part in the “Louisiana Purchase” a deal she struck with the Senate for her vote on the Health Care Bill estimated at up to $365 Million. Conservatives accused her of selling her vote but she insisted no "special deals" were made.

O'Keefe, 25, already was in Landrieu's New Orleans office Monday when Robert Flanagan and Joseph Basel, both 24, showed up claiming to be telephone repairmen, U.S. Attorney Jim Letten's office said. Letten says O'Keefe recorded the two with his cell phone.

In the reception area, Flanagan, the son of acting U.S. Attorney Bill Flanagan in Shreveport, and Basel asked for access to the main phone at the reception desk. After handling the phone, "Flanagan and Basel next requested access to the telephone closet because they needed to perform work on the main telephone system.

The men were directed to another office in the building, where they're accused again of misrepresenting themselves as telephone repairmen.

They were arrested later by the U.S. Marshal's Service. Details of the arrest were not available. A fourth man, Stan Dai, 24, was also arrested, but Letten's office said only that he assisted the others in planning, coordinating and preparing the operation.
