Is it possible to configure Kazaalite so music downloads are displayed as title first and artist second? Right now I am getting artist first and title second.
Thanks

Thanks Zebi for the response but I am too dumb yet about this computer to know what you are talking about.Where do I find this title bar you mention? Right now in my download folder are a bunch of lines in the artist - title format. What I would like to achieve is to make additional downloads display as title - artist.

in ur My <Insert name of FT client here>, click on the audio folder. the top right pane will refresh to show all the music files u have. to change the order to title - artist, click and hold the grey box saying title, drag it completely past the grey box saying artist and let go. u can also do this in search screen.

Thanks overdo for the suggestion. I tried what you suggested and it does reverse the order in that window but my problem is that I want to reverse this order in the display in the download folder on my hard drive because from that folder I can get my playlist into Word to print a hard copy.If artist appears before title in the list I copy to Word the list appears alphabetized by artist and I am trying to get a list alphabetized by title. If there was a way to get the rearranged list out of the client and into a folder on the hard drive that would also solve the problem.

Are talking about the file name itself? Like "artist-title.mp3" format which shows up when you open regular share folder in windows.

If that's it I don't know any other way than re-naming the file, because when you d/l a file from someone you get format that they used to name it when they ripped it(artist first or title first or whatever).

Wolfie, that is exactly what I am talking about. Where the file first appears in my download folder. If Kazaalite cannot be made to display there in the title first artist second arrangement then the next best option I suppose would be to rearrange at the MY Kazaalite window and then try to get the rearranged list back to a new folder. Any idea if this can be done? I tried to "save as" back to the folder where title came from but the order didn't reverse. If I try to"save as" to another folder the "save" button changes to "open" and that isn't any help. Thanks

Ok, I think I know what you're trying to do. When you looking at your files on My Kazaalite there are several columns (tile, artist, media type....) One them is filename and I'm assuming when look under that column you see something like Artist-Title.mp3.

That file name (that arrangement) is how you'll see those files when you look in your shared folder in windows outside kazaalite.

The only way to change that I know is to open your shared folder outside Kazaalite (windows) and click on file (right click) and then click on rename. Then you can type however you want file name to look like (in your case Its seems you want title-artist.mp3). The important thing is that the extention (.mp3) does not get screwed up and is typed at the end (otherwise it won't play)

I don't know of any short-cut that'll re-name files en-mass.

hope this helps

Thanks wolfie. Thats what I am looking to do. Either get Kazaalite to display initially as title-artist.mp3 or else do a mass conversion.Individual interchanging is a tedious process.

while I've never used this function, on a program called MR Tech Systray, there is an MP3 rename tool, I think it may have what you're looking for

Get it at www.mrtech.com/systray

Even if you don't use the rename tool, its a sweet windows tweaker tool

Thanks for the recommendation, let me know if there is a feature that you would like to see, I'm currently in the process of making some updates to the MP3 section of my app and this would be a good time to build a wish list.

Thanks again,

Mel
