Speedup doesn't

OK, I have a problem. When I’m downloading on kazaalite and run speedup it starts out with only two connections, and hardly ever gets to eight. I was wondering if there is a program that can get me more sources per download.

Speedup is designed for that purpose. Remember you can only download it off people if they have it! Try looking for something more popular and see if that works.

Alternatively, try DietKaza from http://www.dietk.com. It has a speedup feature built in, which may work better for you than speedup.

try dietk, it will get you usually to the max sources you can get, which is 8.

I just tried out morpheusX myself..... I havent used it much at all yet but it seems to work better than speedup. at least for me, I havent seen downloads pass the 100Kb/s mark in a long time.... I did the first night I tried morpheusX though.

I think speedup is an unfortuneate name that has been given to the fasttrack accelerator. New people to P2P think it is going to make their downloads literally go faster. They do, but by finding more sources for the download.
