Hello,
Whenever I use uTorrent to download a file a Red Exclamation/Round sign at the bottom of the program tells me that I am not Connectable and that my Firewall/Router is limiting my network traffic...and that I need to open up a port so others can connect to me.
Well I have tried everything...forwarding port in my router configuration, disabling Firewall and Anti virus, searching for a solution on the web...and nothing has worked so far! :mad1:
I just hope that the intelligent individuals at this forum can help me out... Here is what I have:
*uTorrent 1.8.3
Port 10984
Download/Upload Speeds--Low (between 0.1Kb/s and 20-30Kb/s)
*Commodo Internet Security 3.10 (FREE Edition)
AntiVirus, Firewall, Defense+ are all Active
*Internet on a Wireless Network...
Motorola DSL Modem (provided by ISP-Bellsouth)
US Robotics MaxG 5465 Router
US Robotics MaxG 5425 USB Adapter
Network Details:
In my house Two PC's use the internet through the router...
*Parents' PC - wired from the router into their Computer through Ethernet Port.
*My PC - uses wireless adapter to connect to router and acquire internet
(Router gets internet from the Modem)
When I go to a Port Checking Website...my uTorrent port always comes up as Closed. I have Tried Forwarding with PortForward.com and the port seems forwarded in the router, but I am guessing that it is still not accessible.
I have added uTorrent.exe to the Firewall's Exceptions List. Went into the Firewall's Network Security Policy area and added the uTorrent port to the Global Rules section as an Allowed Port/Connection... All of this + a lot or searching, reading, and troubleshooting To NO AVAIL...
Hopefully my Request is Detailed Enough!!! Please Help...
Thanks
