I want to reset and erase everything and start fresh. I dont know which driver from dell.com to use. Thanks for the help.

http://support.dell.com/support/downloads/ you should be able to figure it out from there, its supposed to be idiot proof.

I believe your answer was already posted above. If you can't do your own homework how will you ever get through installing windows? Your Dell Lattitude 8600 is probably going to need several drivers.

You probably have more luck using your service tag number, as I don't even know that your laptop is in their list.

I'm obviously a newbie to this stuff so try and give me a break. After I download all the drivers how to I reset everything?

First, burn all your driver data file to either a cd or move it to a flash memory stick ( USB stick). Follow the instructions below and tell us how it turns out.
