During E3's announcements and recent "get together" has show a few very promising games for the PC. Games such as Splinter Cell: Conviction and Singularity. I, for one, am very excited about the up coming releases this year and in the future. I posted this thread to see how all of the PC gamers felt about the new releases! Everyone is more than welcome to share their opinions, so please do!

Networked games is where it's at still it seems. Mass multiplayer stuff.
So sad, I miss the days of Megaman 2, Final Fantasy 3, Secret of Mana/Evermore and the age where the quality of the gameplay was king, not the graphics where you could see the veins in a leaf on a tree.

That was the golden age of gaming IMO. The Golden age of PC gaming was 2000 +/- 3 years. Pretty much any awesome "old" game you would ever go back and play was from those 6 years.

Singularity doesn't look like a half bad game actually. Granted the game itself isn't reviving the PC, but it does have some strong points in which the game helps put new life into PC gaming.
On another note, Has anyone heard of a game called Project Offset? I've been keeping up with it for a while now and I am very anxious for them to release it, but sadly I do not think it will be any time soon.

I think the ABSOLUTE BEST we can hope for Singularity is that it will be another Bioshock. As awesome as BS was, it certainly didn't revive PC's golden age. Hell, it was just another testament to how dumbed down a lot of games are getting today gameplay wise. It certainly was a smart game, but I really doubt that Sing will be "smart"

This is true however, BioShock would have helped if there were more PC games that were up to the same standards as BioShock. There have only been a few games that have revived a Golden Age for any console by themselves.

I agree. A lot of games are getting to the point where "skill" is the only factor in winning/beating a game. I would love a game that was more based on logistics and balancing with skill. (Something along the lines of Starcraft and Command & Conquer, but a non-RTS style of gameplay)
