As a programmer i will appreciate this and figured all you smart guys out there will probably appreciate this news too :). The Internal Space Station has what is currently in our terms, dial-up internet. And they have just installed a beta version to Interplanetary Internet, as they called it.

The reason i thought you guys would appreciate it, is that it is very much like a P2P group. So, one node, has information, it transmits a data file to the other nodes in the web to see if they have that information, ones which don't, it sends in a chain, this information. This is also, not TCP/IP networking. This is because TCP/IP will always have missing data in the transmission, so NASA made a new protocol system called DTN. which should be complete by 2011, it compensates for such things as a planet being in the way of a transmission from certain satellites :P. (DTN = delay-tolerant networking).
