portable stereo mp3 player?

Is there such a thing as a portable stereo that will play mp3's? Can I save my mp3's to a cd-r or cd-rw and then play those mp3's on a cd-r/cd-rw compatible portable stereo?
Any help greatly appreciated.

I think I saw walkman type CD player the said it plays mp3 off cdr or cdrw (also plays regular cd's) in Best Buy store few weeks ago. It's sort of car sterio type. They do have an website which they sell stuff online you can check out. Try the links below:

i got a TDK mojo - it plays regular cds, cd-rs, cd-rws, and mp3-cds (cdr, cdrw) its really nice, but its a personal player. you'd have to get a set of portable speakers too.

thanks for all your help. I really want to be able to play my mp3's while I hang out my washing and I cant really lug my computie outside!
If anyone knows espescially what store in australia I might be able to buy one from would be even specialmore.
