Expertcd says he has 50,000 songs (He would need 250 gb for that)

Assuming the songs aren't **** quality....

I have some high quality stuff so it may be different since he is downloading **** quality stuff. 500 of my songs is about 2.5 gb.

50,000/500=100
2.5 gb * 100 =250 gb

This just shows how big of an idiot expertcd is. Even if the quality was cut in half he would still need 125 gb....

25 gb is 1/10 of the space he would need for 50,000 songs.

hell i have 114 GB of mp3's, most at high q vbr and it's probably around 40,000 songs

He said he had 50,000 songs which totalled 25 gb. I don't doubt there are people that have that many because I see it all the time on DC++ and IRC.

im with notbob here....

first off, why would it be so hard to beleive that he has that much? for christs sake, maxtor makes a single drive that holds 250 GB. ive met a few peeps with over 1 TB of data to share. 250 is not rally all that much.

secondly, did you read his thread about puting kazaa on autopilot? he said that his list had 500 songs on it. sheesh.... i dont even have 500 songs. if somone can come up with a list of 500 songs that he or she wants, they are either completely new to music dlding, or they have a huge database to add to.

why are we picking on him anyways? why cant we give him the benifit of the doubt? am i mising somthing?

I've got 30,000 and that's without trying to hoard, just.. HL, FTPs, FXP Boards, P2P and RipCasting over a couple of years so I don't see 50,000 as too unreasonable!!?!?

this would mean that each of his songs are 500K in size, i dont know about the rest of you but my average is around 5 meg.

Mmh, it's possible, but it's very difficult to get that number of songs. I myself have only 350 songs :). I wouldn't know what else to download... Unless I start downloading Britney Spears! LOL

I dunno--you need start downloading in your sleep and/or broaden your musical horizons! I was forced to start up my mothballed e-machine as my internet slave about 5 weeks ago--no cd burner, but I seeded "my shared folder" with selections from a couple of CD's of mp3's I burned for someone last year--I think I started off with about 95 mp3's. 5 weeks later I have 639 total, and that's with just a pisspoor 56K old copper wire telephone connection, a setting of one upload/one download at a time and a fairly casual level of attention to the whole process.

And who cares if someone says they have 500,000 mp3's, while we're at it. It's not like the guy with most mp3's wins--more likely he'll just pay a bigger fine or go to jail for longer than the rest of us when the sh*t hits the fan.
