When I make a backup copy of music files to a data CD and then open the disc, the file names are listed as single line entries, alphabetized, with artist first then song title. I would like to copy this list to Word so could make a printout of it. My system is Windows XP Home Edition.

When I do a click - shift click to highlight the entire list and then do an edit - copy - paste, after much background flickering and considerable time, a list appears in Word. When I click one of the titles, instead of becoming highlighted, a box that can be expanded or contracted appears around the title and prevents any type of access to it. Help!!

Does anyone know of a way I can print one of these lists, either from the CD list or from a playlist in Windows Media Player?

Thanks

not sure if I got it right...

MP3 List > http://www.techtv.com/screensavers/print/0,23102,3004270,00.html

If you need to print contents of folder...

1. Save attached file to C:\ as "dir.bat"
2. on Explorer (just open any folder) Tools > Folder Options > File Types. Click on "Folder" > Advanced > New.
3. Type "List" in Action, then Browse to "dir.bat" created in step1.
4. Click OK>OK>Close

right cilck on any folder, you'll see "List" in menu.

Thanks StereoDeluxe. I now have my list in Word. Your suggestions worked like a charm.
