Alright, first of all I'm not excited!
So, I don't want to hear that..."calm down"... thing

Almost , everybody on the forum seemed to think that "Media Juke Box" was the best all round player and encoder that you could get.

Okay, I downloaded the free version 8.0, and have had nothing but problems, since.

Everything was working great, until then. WinAmp read all of my Drives, and saved MP3'S and played both of my CD drives (the normal and the RW)

But I wanted something that would encode and convert to MP3.

Sooooooooo, i did as suggested on this forum.

After downloading "juke Box", my WinAmp would play from the original drive but not from the RW drive. Srange! Jukebox wanted to run the whole show, I guess. Cause, only it would play from either drive.
After 3-4 hours of screwing with this, I finally deleted WinAmp and everything appeared to be great. Both drives worked great with jukebox.

Then. I tried to convert something from CD to MP3 and it was terrible! It told me that everything was fine, but when I played it back it had all kinds of skips, repeats and echo sounding stuff. I have tried for 3 hours now to get a good rip, and it is still the same old thing.

I really like WinAamp, cause.it is simple and comes up quick to play. Juke box comes up but it is lost and so am I.....til' I tell it where to go. Give me WinAmp with and encoder that works.

I might could learn to like "JukeBox"...If the encoder worked. I have tried it several times and I always get echoes, repeats....skips! Nothng that I would want to share with yall!

I also tried it with Nero rip....also unsatisfactotry results.

What the hell is going on?

I put the question here , cause this is where I got the info to begin with about being able to convert files to mp3 to put on WinMx.

Surely, you understood that!
