Why not, they play everything else practically without a codec. Great player, highly recommend.

It's about damn time. Now I can drop that damn Real Player K-Lite codecs on my media player. Now I can strickly use the VL player.
Why in the hell did it take so long to for it to become embedded?

They used to say that Real was copyright protected and Real codecs wouldn't be included.
"We'll include Real codecs when the United States has a Black President. In other words, never"

Except KMPLAYER! This is good news though. How that shitty format has survived is beyond knowing.

To be fair, it has it's applications. I personally like to download my Southpark episodes in .RM format. 35MB episodes at a reasonable quality is great. I'm able to put the whole season on a CD, and it's ready to be watched in a fraction of the time. The codec is capable of having half the bitrate for the same quality. It's just retarded that it's so damn proprietary.

i'm guessing when a person buys a brand new pc and there are those trial software packages, some people actually pay for the full program. It's all about advertising and marketing; this is no different.

I've been running KMPlayer since Mel's recommendation and must say I am very impressed with it.

I will never use this codec, even if it is free.
so you're saying that if some one cloned the codec, and gave it the same flexibility as Xvid to be used in hundreds of programs, that you would never use it, despite its advantages. Riiiiiiiight.

good I really like the real media format and just hated it due to it only being able to be played in their player.
