I use vegas 5.0 to make movies but importing 2 hour long films into the media pool lags it up, i downloaded avi splitter to fix this and it was working great, but one day my computer got hosed with malware so i wiped my c drive and stored things like avi splitter on my alternative drives. now when i try to run avi splitter it thinks i am still in the demo version and i dont have my cd key anymore, i have emailed them asking for a resend but they didnt respond, is their anyway to get that code or a new one without having to pay again?

P.S. i already checked my email and thers nothing

It's pretty safe to say that you won't get help from here to do

the guy has contacted them to reissue his serial key, so i assume he has a legit copy anyway. if that is the case HEV tux, i suggest you wait some more time to hear from them. if you've paid for it, and their customer care sucks, i don't see why you cannot use other (http://thepiratebay.org/) means to use software you paid for :icon_pira

He said he did, but that is no guarantee.
It's also no excuse for us to help him crack
an expensive program. If he has a legitimate
license the company is responsible to help him.
We aren't, and shouldn't break the law for his sake.

actually i did pay for it and i would if at all possible try to avoid torrents and stuff. Not because of morality, but because the whole reason my computer got screwed in the first place is the god damned crack i downloaded for an old game they dont make anymore. I would be okay using a posted cd key, but i wont use a crack. And i emailed them 4 months ago.

How long has it been since you had contacted them? Did you include all relevant info (full name / date of purchase / mailing address / type of payment transaction, etc.)? You should also have a copy of your bank statement as back-up.

Edit: If it's been 4 months, I suggest you get a little more assertive.
