In the last five months the Italian Parliament has accelerated the legislation against the Internet. Probably because it's the last media that is out of control in Italy after out of seven National TV's 3 are owned by the Prime Minister, 3 are State owned and controlled by the Government (read: Prime Minister), and all major newspapers are financed by the State.
Two million people are going to be unemployed within just one year in Italy. Yet our very own little Marie Antoniettes, firstly Levi (left wing) then Cassinelli (right wing) then D'Alia (center) now Carlucci (right wing) have nothing better to do than work day and night, PAID FOR BY US, in an attempt to gag the Web.
Just when Levi stated that he had withdrawn his blog killer proposal, asking all bloggers to register with the Government if they gain profit (e.g. adsense), along comes Cassinelli with a new blog screwer law. The difference between the two is significant. If it is true that Levi was attempting to kill the bloggers, then Cassinelli first screws them, making as if he is trying to help them and then he kills them having the same objective: get bloggers to register with the Government.

You've never lived in Italy and experience the corruption and bureaucratic nonsense. From the top government officials down to the police station captains, it seems everyone is related to each other. No, I don't think you're going to see this BS here.

The US workers have allready lost some 3 Million Jobs; the current administration OWNS pretty much ALL the Media; TV and Newspapers. Is working on taking over all the Banks and many other Private Corps., it very well could be next
:omfg:
Now Obama (left wing) have nothing better to do than work day and night, PAID FOR BY US, in an attempt to gag everyone not to his liking!
Where the hell have you been.........:pat:

The current state of "socializing" large banks, auto sector and any other unmentioned business sector comes out of sheer necessity of preventing the country from falling into depression and much harder economic times. The current government moves are much more driven by the economic advisers than by any one individual or another group of people. I seriously doubt that if the current administration was Republican the information from the academia would be any different since the bitter pill is of the same essence.Politicians who are opposing the government agenda and /or particular economic plans are voicing their opinions more out of the action of "grandstanding" than the actual content of the plan. Media will pick up these sound-bytes and their opposition will be recorded in some newspaper or tv event but they know that they stand no real public scrutiny since they are not in control of the ship. A politician just being a politician.:la:

No the economic and moral problem is 50% of the country gets benefits without paying for them and an increasingly smaller number of taxpayers foot the bill. Sooner or later it will no longer be able to support itself and everything will Colaspe!
could you substantiate this with a factual piece of information
It's what's called redistribution of income, and it is getting out of hand.
Congress should start by refusing to go along with Obama's promise to cut taxes for 95% of the country. With the government running an almost $2 trillion deficit, no one should have their taxes cut -- no one. Given the size of the deficit, fiscal responsibility demands nothing less.
This is strictly done to get the economy fired up (like adding pure gas directly into the carb to get the engine to turn over)and these tax rollbacks will be slowly rescinded once the economy gets rolling.
We now have a liberal community organizer and disciple of radical leftist Saul Alinsky in the White House who knows how to do one thing perhaps better than anything else: spread socialism.
Obama plans to accelerate what Democrats have tried in past decades, which is using taxpayer money to make this a one-party country. This is nothing new for them!
The fact that the Republicans are currently in a state of discourse and disarray can not be pinned on the backs of the Democrats.
How about we create a mechanism so tax rates go up or down for everyone -- no more dividing the country by lowering taxes for some or raising them only for others.
Are you telling me that you want to increase the tax rate equally for someone making $35,000/yr and for someone making $250,000+ ?
Another benefit is that such a system will create an environment in which spending programs receive the scrutiny they deserve.
It's funny what happens when everyone pays the bills, Americans want less spending so they can pay fewer bills.
That's very hard to produce when the country is trillions of dollars in debt. I never heard these arguments when the war with Iraq started.

"The law is well established, which doesn't mean government actors aren't going to try to restrict speech on the Internet, and that has happened," said Aden Fine, an attorney with the ACLU. "Restricting speech on the Internet is something we all need to be concerned about.".
Let it be known Don, this really is the only reason I havn't banned your ass yet.
