Hi everyone,

Can anybody please tell me how to download realplayer streaming audio files and how to convert it into mp3 files format? I have been trying to download streaming music via realpalyer from internet. i can listen the music at that moment but i don't seem to save the downloaded/streamed files. Anybody knows how?

Appreciate and thanks,

You can convert Real Video files using a program called TINRA, but it kinda sucks. As for Real Audio, I really don't know. If you can, avoid anything Real like its the plague.

For "ripping" the streams.... Use Streambox! VCR

http://www.afterdawn.com/software/audio_software/audio_tools/streambox_vcr.cfm

Then use RA2WAV to convert the RealAudio files to wav......

http://www.wiredvideo.com/tools/RA2WAV/ra2wav.exe

And you can find TIRA on your own.... (This isn't real anymore) search for either on google.

Now I'll PM you with a link to "get" RA2WAV for free.....

Tata....

Edit: Real anything sucks so you might as well try and find this stuff on a P2P network in mpeg/mp3/wav......

CCSDUDE is ever the quick one, and informative.

If you have a gun to your head, and you must convert that rma shit or the letter M will be forever stricken from the alphabet, then follow his links.

Otherwise, take a big step back, *sniff sniff* and stay away from it, its crap.

Just because you CAN do something, doesnt mean its a good idea

CSSDUDE,

Thanks for the links. I may need to convert Real Audio someday and i'll need apps like that. Although I do my absolute best to avoid anything Real.

dBpoweramp takes care of both of the above conversions, and a good deal of others besides. www.dbpoweramp.com

o and its free.

but youve got to question

a) why would anyone download RA in the first place ?, and
b) why the hell would anyone want to convert TO wma?
