Hey

Anyone advise on how to speed up emule? cant get over 100kbs download, but with bittorrent i get regular speeds of 600kbs plus.

Used to get good speeds on EDonkey, but the mule is just going like a mule, slow.

Thanks for any advice

Quit emule. The ed2k network is dying, fast.

So where would one go for all those files that seem to only be on EMule?

I find there are some good downloads that i cant find else where.

So i have noticed on private trackers, but getting invites or registered seems very, very hard.

I don't know how on earth anyone manages to finish a file over a few hundred megs. Especially after disconnecting.

See guide in my sig for invite details

Thanks for that

Dont find usenet that good, signed up to there trial.

But been told usergroup type sharing is good on the whole, but been a student i need every penny i can get, thus cant pay for expensive usenet and user groups.

Check the link in sig, thanks

With Emule you simple have to set it and forget it. Don't worry about it and download some other content on the side with bittorrent. There are many files on Emule you will never find using bittorrent so you might at well leave it running slow or just forget about ever getting them. I have found films on Emule that I didn't think even existed. Where people get the prints is beyond me.

BTW, Fasttrack and Emule have nothing to do with each other.

Some programs are "look at me, I'm so fast" and others are "please don't look or you'll be frustrated." Don't use eMule if you're in a rush, but if it has something BT doesn't have, then it's getting what you want vs being deprived of it.
I've tried all the eMule mods through the years, and NONE are fast. That's the nature of the beast.

Thanks for that. Think i will be the type who just leaves it running and will just wait and see what i do get, and what just will never be.

End of the day, 100KBS is not that slow, i can get days when bittorrent dont go much faster.

Thats the joys of Broadband in England, it aint all that consistant, well mine isn't.

Like said, emule has stuff you think no one would ever upload or even share.

I got some training material of EDonkey years ago that i would have had to pay 15k or so for, and helped with my studies no end.

The thing i hate about usenet, is that when i am doing torrent search's, it always says this file is available on usenet, but when you try find it on usenet, its nohere to be found.
