Im a recent fan of this show and I think many people who like "The Big Bang Theory" will dig it too. Although its like comparing apples and oranges both shows will appeal to the same crowd. The IT Crowd... is more ballsy in the classic British comedy sense. This show is more (slightly) down to Earth as the characters are not "rocket scientists", just mean spirited geeks!

Check it out! IMDB (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0487831/)

I saw nothing mean spirited about any of these these geeks. I had a good friend initially tell me about this show but was turned off by its name..the 'It' crowd....I thought to myself c'mon now wots this about? Some computer show?

How wrong was I. It's brilliant. i love how Moss has a Cary Grant accent. It's hilarious. Jen is Gorgeous! and the irishman so pathetically funny.

Did you see the one where Moss jacks up the vibrant function on the Irishman's phone so high that he thought he was having a having a heart attack in the middle of a funeral?

The Boss scenes are great too with the original boss and the son....but the one where Moss ends up lying to someone for Jen by telling them that she's dead was hilarious..especially when she shows back up to haunt a co-worker for erroneously telling people she slept with them classic!

Also the Star Wars theme at the funeral for the Son comes back to reclaim his father's business. Fantastic stuff.

Need some youtube clips of this..but right now I'm willing to go with the 'dying scene' with the irishman at teh original bosses funeral as being the funniest scene from these series. 'Call an ambulance!. i'm not fucking kidding....Call an ambulance, I'm not fucking kidding....oh wait...it's my phone...continue please.'

Also someone else commented before about how nice it is to discover a show like this that has already run its course...aired as many times as its going to air and became available on dvd..so if you like it you can enjoy the whole thing without the suspense of having to wait for new episodes...i was like that with this....watching as much as I could finding myself addicted and unable to stop....so sad to find no more than the 3 seasons alotted me.

Another show like this is called Demons. its an original series in the UK..however the suspense is kiling me over being blown away by the first episode including its opening theme song..and then there is this god awful worry that consumes me where I fear and wonder if subsequent espisodes can maintain the quality of the first the way this entire series did.

Okay..I misspoke perhaps. Grittier? More dirty? I dunno. I am only starting on episode 3 first season but I already like it a lot. It seems you like it too?

I believe the episode you are referring to is called "The Return of the Golden Child" which was probably one of the best episodes in the entire second season.

The third season was only announced last year, so it's actually fairly new. AFAIK, it's quite likely that there'll be a 4th season. :)

I have seen every episode, and loved every second. Thank god for the internet because I live in California, and would never have been able to see this show. The IT Crowd is in my top 5 all time favorite TV Shows of all time. I wish the seasons were longer. Season Three only had 6 episodes!

Mels, watch ''Peepshow'' damnit!

It's not (as) geeky like the IT crowd, but is probably some of best / darkest comedys to come out of the UK for a long while.

Thanks...Peep show coming down the pipe as we speak!

Im surprised that with so many fans of The IT Crows here tah no one has fanboied it before.

I am so glad the American version TANKED! They should just start showing these BBC shows as mid summer replacements and stop remaking them...and consequently screwing them up!

I thought the IT Crowd was posted here before... by me in fact. :\

Also, it's a Channel4 show, not BBC. :)

I always thought the BBC owned it all. Learn something new every so often

I guess somone delted your post Drew, it doesn't show up under any search. Perhaps you posted it at that other site? The show is a few years old and it would be weird for you to post it here.

Heheh, well, BBC has such a huge presence, you can easily think that the only television over in Britain is BBC from this side of the pond. It's an easy mistake to make. :)

Anyone else seen Look Around You (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0358323/)? Its a spurious science show... 70's style. Its fantastic
