The Lord of the rings the two towers has been released and will no doubt if it has not already started poping up on file sharing programs but the bad news is it is one of the baddest cam's ever the picture is really bad and the sound is even worse as the screenshot below shows people are going to have to watch it at the movies or wait for a better cam cuz this cam sucks. .
edit:NO WAREZ ALLOWED

That is so not worth saving eight bucks for. It's washed-out, blurry, and the sound probably sucks as well. =P
If you read the NFO file, you'll note that whoever encoded it is apparently racing some other team to encode the most movies.
Here's what other people have to say about the quality... greatest thread ever!!!111 (http://www.vcdquality.com/forum/showthread.php?threadid=12460#newpost)

nevermind that crap, what did you think about the movie, guys?
Got me high as a space cadet! :D
One of my favorite scenes is when Legolas (after the wolf
slaughter) jumps up on a horse - Pretty damn impressive.
Come to think of it, when ever Legolas did a major stunt, ppl
started to clap-clap :)
The Twin Towers is way better than the first movie. Better
fighting scenes, better composition, nicer ending AND OF
COURSE GOLLUM. Damn, I tell you, Gollum is the best
computer animated figure I've ever seen. Not that you don't
see he's not real, but they have managed to make him human -
and damn funny too!

it's for those poor fans stuck in countries like mine we don't get it till boxing day
but i personaly think it spoils the movie experience seeing such a bad quality version first..
but hey if your a fan... and you want to see it first
i remeber sitting around a computer whenn star war episode 1 first came out and it was so blurry you had to squint
but hey at least jar jar binks looked kinda real

Personally I can't understand where people's fascination with this trilogy comes from... it was only about a year ago -as far as I know- the majority of people had never even heard the story before, and now it seems everyone wants to bring it's sleeping bag over to sleep in front of the cinema, just be the first to watch it.
When I saw the trailer for epside 1 I laughed a little bit because it seems kind of childish... never bothered to watch it either. It's a hype... I don't like hypes.
just my two cents, no need to flame me :-)

I can't speak for anyone else but I wanted see a LOTR movie ever since I read the books (long time ago), so I can care less about the hype. However I do agree that more people got into it since the last movie came out and started reading the books for the first time (there was bit of hype I guess). As far as camping outside the theater to be first in line that's just silly.
As for the topic, seeing it on small computer screen (unless one has DVD burner) is bad enough and paired with lousy quality its not even worth the download.

Why do people clap in movies? Don't they know the performers aren't real? It's just colored light shining on a white screen! I hope you, fishyMishy, didn't clap while watching the cam of people clapping!!!

I have to agree. That was really cool. Legolas kicked ass. But overall as a total Tolkien geek that I am, who has read the Hobbit, LOTR and the Silmarillion at least 50 times and has been reading all three as bedtime stories to my son since he was born three and half years ago, I was truly baffled by some of the plot and character changes that were made--even more than I was for the first movie. C'mon--how many times can we watch Aragorn get killed--no wait, he doesn't die. Because now he's just like Batman. Then they turned Theoden from an avuncular Saxon warrior into a pussy who runs into the hills, and Faramir from a Numenorean tempered by wisdom akin to Arragorn to simplistic version of Boromir but without the balls to just take the Ring. Or Frodo's complete inabity to stand up for himself. After the debacle at Weatherrtop, when in the books does does he almost hand the ring to the Nazgul? Um, lets see, that would be...Never? And don't even get me started on the Ents and Treebeard.
But that scene with Legolas jumping onto the horse, that was cool. That's real elvish fighting style, like First Age Noldor against Morgoth shit!

I don't like downloading movies... I'd rather spend the money and see it in the theater or rent the DVD/VHS. It's a lot more fun that way! (Although they rip you off at the theater)
