I remember when I was 13 or so, a movie came out that looked cute, but just a little below my target demographic. I am referring to the movie known as "Air Bud."

Sure, it was cute story about a basketball playing dog, but then it devolved into something more heinous. Sure, the next stop was to take the dog into other sports so as not to discriminate other sports fans, but what the hell is with that "buddies" spin-off that they have made 2 movies from.

Seriously, WHAT THE FUCK? Now they are going to space! It doesn't even look like a low buget film because of all the computer animation. GAH! I am so appalled!

In other news, Disney gets prosecuted for animal cruelty. They've been kicking the same dead horse since 1998.

They do it because animals sell, and they are cheap. Rather than paying an actor 20 million they can pay a dog trainer by the hour.

Just another indication that the end of the human race is at hand.
Oh and here is one more sign that comes out the end of this month.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1176410/

The final sign will be if there is ever a Mr. Ed movie made.
Mark this post people, the end will be shortly after that.

They were starting to slip, with Pixar becoming the big animator on the block. If they did not merge with Pixar, I'm fairly confident Disney would be up shits creak right now.

disney buys up all its competition sooner or later.
muppets come to mind

Well Disney did not really buy Pixar, they merged together. In fact, Jobs in now the largest stake holder of Disney.

Some say that Pixar is going downhill but I thought Wall-E was fantastic. I would like to see them movie into the more sophisticated animation realm as there are some stories that could be done so well by them.

Disney has its ups and downs. It always has but sooner or later it rights itself and keeps on chugging along. I remember the Disney of my days: The Fox and the Hound, The Rescuers, The Apple Dumpling Gang, Escape from Witch Mountain and tons more.

Anyone see the 90's movie "Rocketman"? Thats the last Disney movie I saw and loved. I actually saw it on LSD the first time. I laughed till my jaws hurt.

Do you mean "Rocketeer?" I saw that movie when I was like 7 years old. It's awkward thinking you were on LSD at the same time I was watching that.

That was so bad it was funny.

Then again there have been plenty of bad movies aimed towards kids. I think I can top Space Buddies with this:

Ugh. I can't believe how badly they trashed the Super Mario Bro's line with that trailer.

Maybe that's what they'll do next, Super Mario Buddies. Take one bad movie, combine it with another bad movie to make one great big horrible movie.

nononononono, not even close. First of all; explosions. That already has space buddies beat. Second, SMB was a videogame movie, those can't help but suck because they are based off of a non-movie. It never works out to properly capture the entertainment value of a non-movie with a movie.

Really, think about it, as bad as SMB sucked, it really was quite good for what they had to work with. Quick! give me a plot synopsis of the real SMB games. Does it sound better than the one in the preview? I don't think it does. The SMB took a completely empty plot and turned it into a high budget B movie. Pretty impressive if you ask me.

lol, that was a sick movie. I remember watching that movie when I was 9, probably about the max age you could be and still appreciate it. I thought Daisy was so hot. Signa and I are apparently the same age.

I have many of the Disney classics such as the Rescuers, Peterpan (the original), Snow White etc... but for some reason my children were more into the sequels than the originals. I have never really understood why. Disney knows what they are doing when it comes to targeting the children. Bright flashing colors, quick movements and lots of music that the kids can sing along with and dance to. I guess our generation of Disney wasn't nearly as fascinating as we once thought.

No, I'm pretty certain that kids wont be talking about and watching Hanna Montana in 50 years, let alone 3. Seriously, MY GRANDMA watched Pinochio when she was a little girl, and so did I when I was young too. Old-school Disney knew how to make long-standing classics. Current Disney just knows how to make money.
