I'll assume the file you ended up with originally was an image file.
.iso
.img
.cue & .bin

Get daemon tools lite, mount the image, install.

Same thing will probably work in poweriso. The problem is that you extracted it instead of mounting it.

You need to mount the original image file, that you got from the rars.

i have found that daemon tools works the best for mounting iso's

and to clarify what the others have said:

when you extract the files form a CD the computer does not recognize all of the parts as one

whereas if you mount the image the computer actually recognizes it as a CD instead of a bunch of folders

Or if you feel like using a free alternative to Microsoft Office you can try www.openoffice.org. (http://www.openoffice.org) Sure beats trying to get around all the stupid modifications people kept making to torrented software. OpenOffice is probably one of the best opensource programs currently available.

1+ there Mountain Rage.

I was kind of upset over issues with MS Works crashing, so I was frustrated enough to jump to open source and honestly never looked back. Give it a try. The only issue I have is not being able to open the docX format, though i've heard that there are docx to rtf converters out there too.

Office 2007 is a big pain in the ass half the time anyway because it's too user friendly (auto formatting is my biggest grievance with the software)

I still use 2003 version. Why update at all?

2+ with MR

i started using OOo for my small business a long time back, M$ charges too much IMO. i have an *ahem* evaluation copy of office 2007 at home, and have to admit, i'd love to have the grove synchronisation feature at the work place.

Maybe you should check out the open source alternatives to Groove.
