I have been using a program called Total recorder for a while now and it allows me to record streaming audio to my hard drive. I have recently found a great site that has real audio files on it encoded at 16kbps and was wondering after I have save the audio using total recorder (I have set-up total recorder to save files as .mp3 files at 56kbps) what is the best way to improve the quality of the audio files (please note that the files have no internet translation gaps as I have total recorder set-up to remove them). Also I do have a program called SoundForge that allows me to cut mp3 files size (I use this when I download full-albums off p2p) and I think there could be a way of improving audio file in it but I'm not sure. Any help or info on programs that could help would be much appreciated.

Go to my site www.spydar.150m.com to find out how u can save streaming audio to high quality mp3s!!!.

TFos_fan, if it's not there it can't just appear out of thin air. You cannot add quality to an mp3 which has bad quality. You might be able to alter it in such a way that there are not hisses or pops, but you can't change the overall quality into something which it is not.

Streaming audio is not high quality and never will be... not even close. No pun intended, but perhaps you should buy some new speakers? I mean... 16 kbps?
