This game is fantastic. It immerses you into the game pretty quickly and theres nothing like the feeling of battling mutated freaks on a cold ship floating alone into space. Check out the trailer for it.. and some video footage. If you cut off a limb to slow down the creature, you can actually get your feet caught up on it and drag it around, and decapitate creatures to. If they get you, they can brutally murder you in different ways, like tearing your limbs apart and eating your corpse. Sadly enough its done by EA. So maybe the team that created it must of been a head of the curve.

Its pretty sweet. Its not like Resident evil where the screen is fixed til you leave the area. Its not exactly FPS as your looking over the shoulder of the guy you have control over. Its not as dumb as half life when your attacking stuff with a crowbar or Fall out 3 when you only have a pistol with a few shots, and a baton. Its intense and there is a lot of detail and dialogue in it but it keeps you moving pretty fast through out.

I will add that people should buy games like this. Support video gaming or very soon there won't be any knew kick ass games to download anymore. Entertainment media will be some of the first luxury items to fall in this economy. If you like it, throw those hard working folks a bone.

Cant be serious. Throw EA a bone?? 4 billion a year in revenue, they buy up competition and dismember them.. Release half ass sequels. Labled Madden 08 as madden 09 (I expect the scene to do it, and all that changed was players stats) and put brett farve on the cover. People who develope games love their job, being able to play 24/7 and release stuff is just fantastic. I wont buy any games that are 60 bucks. Only for less then 20 on ebay which they get no profits from.. and you gota try before you even consider buying.

Its a fun game but is it worth 60 bucks??
Two boxes of diapers at costco that can last 2 months.
20 gallons of milk for the month.
1 month of Gas for the car.
Cell phone bill.

I'll probably end up buying Dead Space when it's released for PC... but I'm more interested in Fallout 3!

Its a good game. Although it seemed a little bit cranky in beta stage but again fps/tps AI games seldom cater to the needs of hardcore mmorpg/PvP

Yeah, luxury items do have a tendency to be pricey when compared to the necessities of life. Independent game companies that are on the brink of bankruptcy usually sell out to the big fish. Definitely, some sequels are produced in a cookie-cutter fashion, with little effort involved. But for quite a few titles, a great deal of talent and hard work goes into them.

Its hard for me to understand the I don't deserve to pay for this shit attitude. If people hate gaming so much why do they persist? I bet Shawners NEVER supports any game no matter how good it is and the excuses he uses as to why he will not pay are only self serving bullshit. IF you don't care whether game companies survive just say it. I think it would be a great thing if they would just stop making new games like they did in the late 80's. Anyone who remembers that era knows how much it sucked not to be able to buy any new video games.

I hope the game makers do come up with a way to stop people from ruining their profits on new releases some day. I strongly support the gaming industry because I LOVE it. There are good and bad games but if you know how to read and use the internets then you can avoid the POS games. The gaming industry doesn't deserve to be ruined by pirates and the secret to better games is better profits. NO company will invest in a blockbuster title if they know shawners is out there!

That being said...I strongly support MAME and other older emu gaming. I love it more than new gaming. These titles have made their money and the investors should be happy with that.

If people love gaming then they should support the industry or the industry will abandon you or will stop trying to produce big budget products.

Damn right. It's funny when someone goes off on how bad a game is, especially when they're more upset over the wasted dvd-r. We're spoiled rotten now and most of us don't even know it. Thousands of dollars worth of content can be had every month with a single internet connection and they still have room to bitch. The whole "try before I buy" argument never floats. Thats what demos are for.

I think Steam is a relatively good delivery platform for PC games. I've bought several titles over the last few years without any significant issues. Bioshock completely blew me away. Worth every cent!
