Chris Rock Sucking On HBO



Have you guys seen his new HBO special? I like Chris Rock but this new special is GARBAGE! Here is a youtube TEASER (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kfDRzy_j2ec). You will quickly notice they don't show any of the standup!!! There is a very good reason for this...ITS AWFUL! I mean the worst shit Ive seen in a long time. You can see much better at your local open mic night...and Im not kidding one bit.


I have to wonder if its because Wanda Sykes no longer writes for Chris. He wrote this entire standup himself...and it shows. Im very disappointed in Chris Rock. Ive always liked his comedy which as always been based on how black people and white people are different but its obvious he has run out of shit. Chris....get a sitcom because your standup is dead!!!!

Yeah, I saw about 30 minutes of it... after that it was basically unbearable.

I lost complete respect for CRock after Richard Jeni died. Supposedly he and CRock were good friends. The day Jeni offed himself CRock went on the Tonight Show (I think he had been scheduled to be there before Jeni died)... he was there to plug a movie or something... Leno asked him about Jeni and how he felt 3 times and all CRock could do was deflect the question and plug his shit. At one point he said that if Jeni were alive he would say his movie was funny (or something to the effect) ... it was painful to watch.... the guy has no class.

i agree with you mels smileys45, his standup days i think are numbered. his earlier material was exceptional but kill the messenger was just amatuerish at best. i really miss the old chris rock, who knows maybe he will resurrect some day again, hopefully.
