I use uTorrent these days I have been using Sharaza lately but found it really useless taking a really long time to download and connect, Where uTorrent takes like 5 seconds and its off.
In the past i used ABC (Yet Another Bittorrent Client) dont even know if thats still going i found it alright. That was a while ago now.

I will save you some trouble. Soon you will find around 70% or more say uTorrent, 25% or less say Azureus (Vuze) including me, although I have nothing against uTorrent. The rest will say Transmission (especially seedbox users), with a few other stray clients spread in between. Most of the stray will come from users that haven't used torrents for long, but with some exceptions.
This has been done to death on every site and the answers are always the same.
Clients that may be worth noting the further development of are e.g. HaLite

any utorrent and azureus alternatives?
that is allowed on private trackers?
utorrent is kind of slow in devlopement(by bitorrent funded by anti-p2p guys)..

bitspirit is a good alternative and I have never had any problems with private trackers

Im still using uTorrent 1.6.1
Still flawless.. I guess if your on a public tracker like thepiratebay.org or some others.. and speeds are like 6-40kb/s.. Then you blame your bt client and always looking to switch because of it. I been on pisexy for years now. And the seeders seed to the max, so its always 6megs speed, and i can only achieve it if im uploading at 40kb's. After downloading i unlimite it to 60kbs.

i tried Deluge, its very slow on load up, but it gets the job done.
if any client can give me utorrent speed and functionality, without all the internal(bitorrent devs) cons, then i will be the first one to switch.
Bittornado, ABC, bitspit, or any other clients starting with bit.. also are banned from atleast 2 or the major trackers.(even accused of stealing ratio/sending malware)

Azureus 2.5, before all that Zuze crap came along. RSS feed scanner with force download, great for all my tv shows.

The best to use is subjective. The best for me on Windows I feel to be uTorrent. For my seedbox, however, rTorrent.

I have used most of them over the years but have always returned to utorrent... plus 90% of the sites now only allow either utorrent(usually the preferred one) or Azureus.

uTorrent if i had windows, that was such a nice little program.
right now i run Transmission on OS X. it's got its issues, but i love it nonetheless. as long as it doesn't get banned from every tracker again!
