Ok, looking to get a new desktop machine and that always starts with the case. I like the simple but well designed cases from coolermaster like the centurion 5:

And I like this one from Antec:

Basically I want something thats good at handling dust, easy to get inside and work on, looks reasonably cool, and is quiet.

Any suggestions?

I have always liked Antec PS's. The case looks clean, sturdy, and simple, but I would personally want more than 2 USB ports on the front of my tower.

I have an Antec Sonata Ver.1 its a kick ass case, but lacks airflow. To be honest, I can't see how you could go wrong with an Antec, they make fantastic cases.

I also noticed that the specific case you were looking at has the PS isolated on the bottom. Good design, keeping it on the bottom helps keep vibrations and temperatures down, quite frankly go with the Antec. Especially when comparing it to the Coolermaster, which doesn't seem to have any special features.

You should also look at the Lian-Li cases, some of those are pretty sweet too.

Also, if you upgrade your power supply I suggest looking for the modular systems. If I were to get a new power supply I would definitely buy modular. Nothing more irritating then having a unused cable and nowhere to put it.

I would have to say the Antec. The power supplies are top knotch and the case is easy access and very moddible

Hate to sound like a broken record, but yea, Antec is the best. Not cheap, but I've tried a lot of alternatives (cheaper). Antec blows them all out of the water. Well worth the money for a good case.

I have a 5 year old Antec SX835II that I still use. It's gone from an Athlon XP 2100+ to 3000+ to Athlon64 X2 3800+ to now an Intel C2D E8400. Great case, I've never thought about getting a new one. Their PSUs have deteriorated in the past few years, though. :(

The last 1/2 dozen or so boxes I've put together were all with the CoolerMaster Centurion. I just add dust filters to the unfiltered inlets. Airflow and dust just go together. So I always just put enough 120 mm fans in so that if you even get a wad of dust 1/2 an inch thick it doesn't matter, you still have plenty of airflow. Brute force ya, but if you want a box that will run for the next 5 or 10 years without having to mess with it... The power supplies I always pick out separate for the application anyway, OCZ and such like.

Which case did you end up with anyway? That is if you ever end up reading this.

I personally have the Antec 900 case.

Lots of airflow from 3 120mm and 1 200mm top.

It is a little loud, but that is because I have all fans on high.
