Hi Everyone!
I want to start sharing my CDs through torrent and 1-click downloads. These will be secure FLAC rips using EAC. I need a way to for people who have downloaded the rips to know that
A.) these were ripped properly with EAC and
B.) they were ripped from the original factory-pressed CD and not a CDR copy.
So far my ideas are
A.) to include the EAC log file (a lot of torrents already do this) and
B.) to include a photo of the CD in front of a computer screen displaying the piratebay website (I'll be using their tracker).
I know these 2 can be faked. Any other suggestions on how to accomplish the above 2 objectives would be very much appreciated.

You're right, both of those can be easily faked. I guess though, most of us take it on faith that people don't bother taking the time to fake an EAC log.
In the end though, unless a leecher takes the time to do a spectral analysis of the files (after they've downloaded it) they have no way of determining if a torrent is genuine or not - even then it's a bit of an educated guess. Either way, it's a bit like shutting the gate after the horse has already bolted...
About the only thing that can help maintain torrent quality is membership to a private music tracker. In most cases, continued membership relies on not putting up crappy quality rips, transcodes from lossy sources etc. Most sites have quite a few rules to ensure that the music shared around is of the quality it claims to be, and they quite often have minimum bitrates etc.
Basically, people who want to keep their membership privileges don't try to share crap around the community - they inevitably get caught out and lose out in the end.

If you are taking the time to rip and release quality stuff, that's about all you have to do.
Assuming you are going to use some release name to id your torrents people will come to associate quality with you.
Caveat emptor. Private trackers.....pffft.

What the OP asked for were iron clad ways to "guarantee" quality. Tagging your torrent with a release name doesn't give you that either, because someone else can easily come along and upload crap with your tag.
Granted, private trackers are no guarantee either, but because they're generally more heavily moderated, there's generally less crap to trawl through. To each their own I guess.

There really is no iron clad way to prove your release is of any particular quality. What I'm saying is that if you are releasing high quality stuff, thats enough.
The onus is not on you to prove your release is great, you released it, wtf do you care how its received? You know you did your part.
