I work for www.friction.tv and we have a really interesting video of Becky Hogge, the Executive Director of The Open Rights Group, an organization which exists to preserve and promote your rights in the digital age.
Here she discusses how Virgin Media has sent about 800 letters to customers warning them that they should not be downloading illegal music files via file-sharing sites, and the objections that she has to this cruisade. See the video at:

last i hear virgin have reversed they're stance on this- no more letters :icon_thum

mostly due to public pressure organised from here and similair sites
