I have a few mp3s that are 128K bitrate, but KaZaA Lite is reporting them as 32K, 192K, 64K - and won't even play them. When I play these same files in RealOne player, they play just fine and are reported at the top as being 128K. I converted these files myself with dBPowerAmp using LAME 3.92 and they sound excellent! So I would like to share them - but I don't want to share them if they are going to show up with misreported bitrates in other people's P2P programs.
HELP! What do I do?
Has anyone else had this problem before?

Use a different program to share them... Kazaa Lite sucks if it comes to mp3s.... =D

For anyone who cares...
The problem was the ID3v2 tags.
Explanation:
I was (still am) using dbpowerAMP to create mp3s.
I use a 128K constant bitrate setting - not variable.
There was an ID3 tag setting set for "ID3v2".
I guess KaZaA Lite doesn't like this sometimes.
So I changed the setting to "Both ID3v1 & ID3v2".
Ahhhhh! Now KaZaA like!!!:gj
P.S.
I took your advice at first and tried another P2P, Shareaza in this case. What a joke. I uninstalled it today. I like what I've got. I liked WinMX too and will probably reinstall it soon. What are you using?
