So far I have gotten everything I wanted from DC++ and I have 56k and not many files. There is hubs for newbies and people without many files. So is there anything wrong with it? It doesn't have multi-source downloads, just find someone that has DSL or Cable. I have 56k and get a download done in 15 min. So what is wrong with it? Do you use DC++?

(See I didn't make a poll:fire :fire :fire :mellow

If it's mainstream you are looking, all clients are ok. But if you want rare stuff , then DC is one of the best but you have to share many Gigas+ fast connection. So that's what's wrong with it. For others that's an advantage but not for 56ers.

Ok, I am confused. I thought DC++ did multisource downloads. What am I doing when I get part of a file, search for additonal sources, then "Download To:" that partial file?

Seems to speed up the download, and all my sources are viewable by rt clicking on the file and looking at PM.

Anyway, DC++ kicks ass! And it's because it has rare stuff for those who are willing to share that it is so good.

if the second person is faster than the first, then yes, it will be fater

all you are actually doing is resuming the file, so instead of getting the 2nd half of the file from person a, you get it from person b

if person b was slower, the download would be slower, you just got lucky and found faster connections
