Vcd-help

Hi everyone,

I have created VCD files using adpatic software and Cd writer and CD-R/CDRW cd. In the process i did not finalized the cd thinking that i will add more files/video clips on the cd. Then i created a new video clip using the same cd and used the same cd to add these new files/video clips. It added the clips alright but when i tried to paly the cd, it only plays the new video clipsthat have been created, not the first part, as if nothing existed in the cd before the second part is added to the cd. What am i doing wrong? Am i missing steps? How do i play all? I know i can do create all files at the same time but usaually i may not have enough video clips to fill the entire cd-r or cdrw. sometimes the files are too small and there will be a lot of space left in the cd. PLEASE HELP, YOUR HELP IS APPRECIATED.

Actually it was 6 times.. Hey dont blame them their name is clueless after all.

As for their question once you finialize a cd a you cannot put any more files on it and have it play... The only way to have all the files you want to play on one cd is to burn another one. If you close a session then whats on that first session is that that the player will play.

However you can burn files on a finalized cd if you are going to use those files on a computer since thats about the only way to use them. The extra files wont play in a dvd or cd player though.

And dont crosspost once is enough.

Thanks for understanding my situation and attempting to answer my question. However, my question was that i did not finalized the cd. u were telling me if i finalized the cd i can not put any more files and i do understand that. however my question was i did not finialized the cd, i just added more files on top of what i have created on the same cd and unable to play the first session of the video clips tha has been created. Did u get me? please read my message again and if u have a solution please get back to me. i really appreciate it and thank you

Actually it's 13 posts. 6 of them in one thread last night (Yesterday 11:22 AM - by cLuELeSS) and then 7 seperate posts in seven different Forums.

Initially I'd just warned him against cros posting, only to find out this morning that the idiot had subsequently posted another 5 times.

Some mod should reprimand clueless, else every time he can't find his start button he'll be spamming this board with his crap.

The soultion is the same if you want to view them all you have to make a new cd with all of them in one session... Burning an audio or video cd and having it play on a player is a ONE TIME BURN.. Not saying that you cant add files to the cd but they or what your burned before will not play. There is no way to make both sessions play so you have to make a new cd and burn all the files you want to play in one session..

Players will only play one session so if you want them all to play you can only have one session which is why making audio/video cds is a one time thing..

What you did was close the session and then wrote a new session and added more files which is why only one plays. Because players only read data from ONE session...

So the one and only way to get them all to play is to wait until you have a full cd worth of audio or video files and burn them all the disc at the same time.

Buzz or roamerick i found the extras and they are gone.. Anymore crossposting im going to ditch the clones and leave one thread in the forums thats best suited for it.. In this thread case it would be THIS forum since its a general support question so cluess stop cross posting...
