Anon VPN / Proxy Services

As of recent i have been on a quest to find the best vpn and proxy service to do all my downloading through. I have been really surprised with the lack of information and reviews for these services. I thought i would just make this thread for people to post reviews on the services they have tried. I will start with my findings:

1. Relakks VPN - sometimes it works sometimes it doesnt. Fast when it works: 300KB/sec. Disconnects very very often.

2. BtGuard Proxy - Always works, very fast 500KB/sec. P2P apps dont like proxies, only good for bittorrent.

3. Http Tunnel Proxy - Slow 50-100KB, client app crashes every 10 min.

3. Secure Tunnel VPN - Never connected. Not a single time.

4. Linkideo - Why does peerguardian block their website and call it "antiP2P" ????

anyone tested anything else?

I've tested BTGuard with utorrent and it works.

BUT, i'm getting a little suspicious of this proxy service for the following reasons:

1) there is very little info about them on the web

2) nothing pre-dates March 2008

3) certain discussion groups contain hints of possible "honey trap"

Are we screwed as we've had to register & pay just to test it, or are there just a lot of paranoid people out there?

Why pay?

If free and works for you then OK.

Otherwise use one of the many anonymous p2p clients.
