Have you ever had an enema?

An old friend just had surgery and I went to visit him. The doctor came in and said if his bowels didn't move soon they were going to have to give him an enema.

It got me to thinking... who has had an enema and why?

When I was a lot younger, maybe 12 or 13, I was incredibly constipated. Went days, and all of the sudden I was getting horrid pains in my stomach. My dad thought I had appendicitis so he rushed me to the emergency room. After sitting there for 4 hours (that's fast for the emergency room), they took me in and did an examination.

After getting an X-ray, it was revealed that I had a massive "blockage" in my large intestine. Under the doctor's request, I had a tube shoved into my ass (the diameter of which was just a little smaller than an American dime) and water pumped into me. After she (the nurse... it was a very humiliating day) pulled the tube out, I quickly half pulled up my pants and ran straight for the bathroom.
