Hi everyone, I am in videography business and I need to make copies of the original ones frequently. I am presently using software that does it for me but I have been getting complaints about the quality that’s cloned. Do you people know about any better software that can do the same thing without comprising on the quality?
Thanks in advance!!!

I'm in the market for a good ripper myself.
I generally use the old dvd decrypter unless I get read errors, then I'll use dvdplatinum pro.
don't really care for anydvd.
what else?

I've used a few programs like Nero, Ones, and X-copy, and they all seem to do about the same. I've found it's more important to have more computer speed, memory, fast bus and disk, and most important, setting the write speed properly.
I test on an older DVD player, and a new one. Different players can play the same disk back in different ways. I have an older player that doesn't like disks in SLP speed, it has sound, but the screen just has color blocks with machine language type characters on them.
If you get lots of block artifacts on the screen at high write speeds, go down one speed. At max I was getting errors, and every so often a disk wouldn't even finish, so I tried med speed, with no problems since.

from the original question there are two solutions.
1. Rip and then use the corresponding correct media to burn to.
2. Do not use trans-coding software.
For best results use a re-encoder like CCE along with DVD Rebuilder.

I like this one too. It hasn't failed me yet, where dvd shrink worked less often then it was good for. No offense Chris & Jorge.

Small contradiction here:

right.
CCE is nothing more than encoding software whereas shit like dvdshrink is a transcoder.
but I bet you already knew that, huh?

I didn't see the reference to DVDshrink in your post. (Which you are correct, it does transcode to DVD5 when it rips)
And yes, CCE is a transcoder.

Depending on how you set it, shrink can transcode to DVD5 when it rips.
But you can turn the transcoder option off and rip a DVD9 too.
BTW, if Cinema Craft Encoder were a transcoder than you'd think they'd have named it CCT instead of what it is.

I don’t need to make copies if DVD so I wouldn’t have known the solution but my friend uses DVD Cloner 5 that helps him copy the DVD with the quality intact. He is been using
It for a while now and had no problems up to date. So I would advice you to go for this as it is tried and tested.
Cheers!!!

I like my hardware encoder.
I encode straight to mpeg-4.
