Deadly steam powered breast cannons. Using religion to spread the holy ways that you control. So you can get people to make more babies, give more money and just generally behave. Jousting.

No, but I can post more if you like. You know what I've never seen in a mid evil game, prostitution. Its the oldest profession yet no one ever includes it. Make it so it increases your moral, or heals your players yet causes exhaustion. So you have to close down the whore house before the big battle other wise everyone will fight like crap.
Biological warfare, in mid evil times they would send plague infested corpses and rats to infect villages. If a game has done that I haven't played it.
The fact you found my religion idea stupid is hilarious. It can highly influence the game play. Think about it, religion was education, spirituality and control. If you have a religion simulator it would greatly add to the tactics. You could start to try and convince people of the greater good and to fight for you, but if you don't do a good job the people can turn on it. Like lets say if your not hard enough on the whore house maybe the clergy will get mad, but then that will anger the troops causing all kinds of problems.
How about armor decals, they can be metal reliefs that can be custom made at the smith shop. Same with family crests.
Actually now that I think about it how about land ownership, you could buy land and farm it, develop it, create a business like a forge. Think of the possibilities.
Last but not least you need more cowbell definately more cow bell.
Funny thing is I actually have a serious idea for a mid evil strategy/rpg/adventure game but I have no reason to tell you about it. So I give you the lesser ideas.

well i like the armor decal but i don't think staring a business in game would be a good idea
and the biological war idea seems to be too unfair i have to balance the game so i don't think i would put that in but u have some good ideas i'll admit

ah, screw it its very unlikely that I would ever do anything with my idea anyway.
What I've always envisioned is a mix of real time strategy, rpg and point and click adventure games. So for the main part of the game you would be playing a turned based RPG. Your character however would be some high ranking officer, or knight who would be in charge of setting up the army. This would require you to coordinate training numbers, factions, weapon making, resource management and whatever other variable. This would allow for epic mix of real time strategy sieges with some turn based RPG battles all in the same boos fight. So the goal would be to clear the way for your main players to get to the boss battle. Some battles could even have multiple bosses and targets that shift into the turn based rpg screen. Any ability you posses in one area of the game would be accessible in the other, and you could even call for some help as one of your turns.
The point and click adventure elements would be just that, point and click adventure. But unlike classic point and click, the rpg elements would break up the boredom of walking from one location to another. It would also be much more embedded with the battles and would highly enhance puzzles for the rpg. This would help eliminate the simple puzzles that have filled most RPG's and add allot of depth and story telling abilities.
Of course these styles are not everyones cup of tea so their should be an option allowing you to disable one of the play options. Anyway thats my idea, to my knowledge it does not exists. The closest thing would be war craft 3 but its a bad example.

hmmm i dont know about point and click but point and click games are not that exciting and get boring after a while like runescape or dungeon siege
i was looking for a hot key kinda thing you could point at a target and lock on to it then hit a key that will make your character attack like world of warcraft.

Never played wow so I'm not sure what your talking about, but I find that unless hot keys are right beside keys I often use, I don't bother with them. So for FPS the keys around w,a,s,d, space, shift, those are the main keys I use so unless its a key beside those I don't bother. The interesting thing is if you move over the arrow keys it gives you more usable keys nearby for games. So moving w,a,s,d, to r,d,f,g. It gives you an extra 3 keys close by for your pinky. You could also utilize the thumb for keys other then just space, the keys above space are actually fairly accessible with your thumb. In fact FPS should use those for weapon switching rather then the number keys.
