My partners and I have just released a new P2P Program.

Feel free to view it, flame it, praise it. Whatever you want.

It's based on a couple networks, gnutella and our own private network.

FileSausage (http://www.crossvillemedia.com/FileSausage-v1.2.1.exe)

It's relatively new, but give it time. :)

:shy Woah no so quick. what does it connect to? We like more details.Like what about spyware?

FileSausage

it connects to:

Gnutella
Crossville - our private network
and a few distro file servers that will be up shortly.

No spyware whatsoever.

1 small banner.
1 small website update section.
Chatroom
Userstats (coming soon)
Auto-update (coming soon)
Fast wildcard search results
Complete file hashing - sha1 - automatic
The private network is a webbing design in which each users connects to each other user.

The banner is just to cover the small server costs on our list host and chatbot.

I apologize for the lack of content on that weblink that is only the server update screen for the program itself.

:mellow Also is this a beta? If not why havnt we heard of it before? Not trying to be nasty. This Gunetella thing has been done to death. For me I will wait to see what happens.

:mellow Crazy Horse, if you are around, have you heard of this before?

It's been in closed testing for a few weeks and on the drawing board for over a month.

I have no problem with any of your comments.

Afterall, it is a widely unknown program.

and yes gnutella has been overdone..that is why it's such a great and large network :)

This program is mainly to try and put some management to the gnutella network..it is..as you all know..very cluttered.

Hunter - No this is the first I've heard of this program.

Re: File Sausage - Your not going to get many people (smart ones) to directly download this program with absolutely no information from a website or such to back it up. You just aren't going to find too many trusting souls that will download an executable file from someone they don't know. While your program SOUNDS cool and all, a few suggestions:

1) Who the hell are you?!?! - I don't think any of us have ever heard of you.

2) A website would be nice - y'know with screenshots, program info, site registration info, A place to get a hold of you for questions, possibly specs & data - just stuff to assure us your above board, honest & forthcoming. Something to show us your not some flash in the pan.

3) Reviews from someplace reputable could helpful.

Unavoidable questions you WILL be asked:

Does your program multi-source?
It an open-source project?
Those will be the most asked but there will be tons of others.

Good luck on your endevour - I hope you respond with some of the suggestions others and myself give you. I would maybe like to try this program - IF I can learn more about it and feel comfortable that it's OK

Afterall, it is a widely unknown program. Why post it here on the forums? Why not just submit it as a news article on ZP with some info & screenshots? No offense, but posting a direct ".exe" link on forums from a mysterious person is just asking for trouble. If an unknown source posted an ".exe" link on your forum & gave no description of what it is, would you download it FileSausage? I certainly hope not. I think you can figure out why. Thanks, but no thanks. I'd like to keep my baby healthy with vitamins & minerals, not full of trojans & viruses. Post a website with detailed info then we'll look in to it.

Wow, it needs some help but I wish the best of luck to you. I think the GUI needs to look nicer there is nothing better than a littel eye candy that should not be too much trouble.
Will it use G2?
Where are youer servers located?
Can the nazi RIAA and there gestapo shut you down?
Are you planing to use outer netwroks outer than guntella and your network (I am faund of people making new networks I think the good ones will suceed and the bad ones will fail sruvivle of the fitest.)
I love the chat room idea but I think you should look at outer clients IE: kazaa and shareaza and try to use some of there fetures.
I have some ideas for fetures on a client here some are crap but I think most are good I have poasted them on outer fourms and a lot of people like them especly the one about renting cache and if you have a server then you could do just that to pay your bills.
