Ok, recently i aquired something from a friend, it was an iso renamed to exe, the instructions were to download, rename to .iso, then burn using clone cd

i have tried doing this, but all it does is change it to .iso.exe

i know there is a way to put something around the file name(like quotes or something) to force the file extension to change, anybody know how to do this or know of a better way?

I am using XP Pro if it helps, thanx for all your help guys (and possibly girls)!

tools/folder options then uncheck hide file extensions for known types. Then rename to iso.

if it were a joke, I wouldnt have dedicated an entire thread to this

I never would have thought to turn off hiding of file extensions, but after i did, it was simple, again, have you used xp and tried it?

Thanks alot guys this helped me out alot previously when i had to convert things like that i would end up having to open up Nero and then find the file and change it (ps i dont know if you care but they add the .exe to iso files so they show up in the software section of kazaa)
